its hard to tell on a silver car... on my nighthawk black 99 TL the chrome looks real good. It would just look silly to me to see it blacked out.

how'd you get the black trim? details please. on darker colors the black trim would look better, but i think you can't go wrong with either on silver.

THANKS GUYS!!!!! lol yeah the tint is dark as hell makes it intresting at night sometimes, but you get used to it. Yeah i noticed my reflection too

The trim i blacked out with electrical tape, just to see how it would look. pretty effective actually, would probably work on a permenant level if i wanted it to...

The grille was a pain in the ass it wasnt hard, just a pain in the ass eheheh...

Would you guys like me to post detailed pics on the process?

Darkshear--the black looks good it is like dipped or something. If you leave tape on there, I'm gonna drive to Tampa and kick your a$$ at take your grill which I fu(king love!!!

Wanna make some $$$??? I'm only 'handy' with one thing and that isn't appropriate for our juvenile readers. You gotta hook us up!

thought about it, but the stuff i used is already so close to the SSM color, it would be almost pointless... and i would be way worried about it chipping....

The trim looks really good against your dark tint, but the bling bling chrome trim makes it stand out also.
The grill looks nice as well, can you post some close up pics??

OK, heres 2 more pics, much closer look. Theres one little spot that looks like its overcut, but its not, just an illusion.

Oh by the way guys, i found out where my buddie got this mesh... its frikin home depot gutter guards!!!! cant cost more than $1 a sheet...

Keep in mind though, this new grille of mine has not yet been exposed to the elements for an extended peroid of time!!!! so i dont know if its going to fade or not.... i dont think it will cause its a little higher quality and it looks coated with something.

here ya go.

Man, the grill looks great. I like the chrome trim better, makes the dark windows stand out better.

Hey is that a chrome piece around the stick-shift? And what is that thing on the drivers side passenger door that kind of sticks out of the window?

guys, just picked up another pack of the mesh.... yeah, home depot, in the section where the gutter and eve stuff is... its gutter guard, thats all... pack of 5 strips tottaling 15 feet, about 6 or 7 inches long, packaging says "Premium Hinged Gutter Guards" made by "Gutter World"... $6

however im going to spray paint the grille with rustoleum silver and then get your guyses feedback!!!

jscott7x24, that is the roll of electrical tape i used to black out the trim

BTW i decided not to black it out guys, not on a silver car neway...
