Need advice on front & rear engine mounts

I want to replace my front & rear engine mounts.
Looking at www.rockauto.com, I found the following for the front:

1. ANCHOR Part # 9441...$45
2. DEA Part # A4519 OEM Hydraulic....$57

And the following for the rear:

3. ANCHOR Part # 9149....$52
4. DEA Part # A4507 OEM Hydraulic.....$50
5. BECK/ARNLEY Part # 1041778 Without Vaccum hose....$55
6. BECK/ARNLEY Part # 1041931 With Vaccum hose $88

Which brand is better? Should I go for the vaccum/hydraulic ones or not?

It seems like these are less than half the price of the dealer OEM mounts, so even if they last half as long as the originals ones, it would be worth it.

Anybody install these before? Or should I shop elsewhere? Help.

Why not replace the side? Your trans mounts are probably broken if your engine mounts are bad. I just bought the whole set, hyrdo with a lifetime warranty on ebay for $150 shipped. Put em on and they're fine as long as they last.

Yeah, I will replace the side motor mount and the 2 tranny mounts. These are not too expensive and I could go with the OEM dealer parts if I wanted.

But the problem I am having is in finding reasonable quality front & rear motor mounts without paying the ridiculous dealer prices.

How do the Anchor and DEA brands hold up over time?

I believe I bought the DEA one when I replaced my front motor mount. So far its been about 9 months and its still rock solid. Definitely got rid of that "jump" my motor made when I hit the throttle, followed by "THUD".

I say well worth it. I can't give any advice on the side and rear mounts because I haven't touched them.

EDIT: I'll double check to make sure I got the DEA front motor mount and let you know.

Your logic is flawed. If they last half as long, you would be changing them out twice as often.

You don't want to change the rear mount that often. Trust me.

OEM mounts suck, thats why we're replacing them so often. Solid mounts will vibrate a bit more at idle. Excelerate sells beefy solid mounts if thats the route you want to go but you'll have to pay. You can get the OEM replacements and poly fill them, there is DIY on here somewhere I think. I won't know how good my mounts are for miles to come, but at leats they get replaced for free if they break, and you cant beat $150 for all 5 shipped.Your rear mount is the least likely to be broken, but I would buy a full set anyway. I bought the Ingalls engine dampner to reduce stress put on the mounts from engine movement..its a nice product so far if you can deal with a little steering wheel shake when you're stopped. Innovative makes solid mounts as well but I think they got bad reviews.

You know, these may be the best bang-for-the-buck option. I saw ebay dealer "autopartpro" selling them. They are the DEA brand.
Are the front & rear mounts the vacuum type so you can plug the hose in? And do you get any vibrations when in gear at idle?

The excellerate ones (for $300) look really heavy-duty and like they would cause vibrations.

Thanks

I get vibration but most of it is because of the Ingalls engine dampner I have installed thats on it's stiffest setting. I bought the Motorking brand on ebay, and yes the front and rear have the vacuum lines. I honestly don't know how they feel without the dampner on because it bolts to the side mount so I didn't feel like installing it at a different time. I can say however, that the car drives 100x better now. My side and front were completely broken in half, one trans mount was in pieces and the other wasn't very stiff any longer.

Just chiming in to confirm I have the DEA, OEM front motor mount. So its done okay for about 9k miles of driving done on it so far.

I'd go for the solid ones though, they seem like a way worthier option.

Our XLR8 mounts are more durable and are made with polyurethane bushings. Yes, it will increase cabin vibration to an extent (depending on the bushing durometer) but there are always sacrifices with upgrades. If you want to have less wheel hop, less engine movement, better traction and a longer engine mount life then consider our mounts.
