My...New...Acura..Tl...99...Worst seller ever..

Ok im new on this forum and i dont speak english in real life so go easy on me..
I just bought this acura 99 from a little carshop...
it was looking good, everything is A1
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/198/img0626bv.jpg/
On the website it was wrote: Nothing to do, Inspected ETC...
Im young, its my second car, and like everybody i do mistake..
So i pay the car (cash) without looking under it...
I did an expection.
And then:
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/585/damno.png/
The front cross member is F****G BROKEN !!!!
So i go back to the store, i show him this picture
he say : Oh sorry we going 2 repair this ! i command the new cross member and then i install it !!! call me tomorow 1pm ( its 3pm right now)

so im like..yea ok...if he fix it...
Then i come back tomorow...
...i lift the car again...
He added some ducktape ( no joke about that..)

SO THERE'S MY QUESTION !!! :

1- How many time it take to change a front cross member ? ( i guess i have no choice , i DON'T want another car !

2- Is there a way to fuck the name of the Car Seller ? is there something i can do with the police or something like that?

Thanks
and again..sorry for my english..

Yea that would come up even in the most basic inspections. I would try to get some legal help. Duct tape is not repair.

if its a used car dealer/lot then you have legal rights that must be enforced right away!!

A: the car was not fit for sale- a broken cross member is a serious hazard to driving!!
they have to inspect the cars and make sure brakes are ok, tires not bald, frame not cracked,,,,

B: they should have replaced the cross member- takes 2-5 hours depending on how much is in the way
C: By using duct tape after agreeing to replace the broken part = FRAUD

they should take the car back and return all your money
Otherwise take them to small claims court,
and report it to your state bureau of Auto Sales--look in front part of phone book for number

every company has to have a business license, and the govt grants or takes away that license.
Also report the company to your local BBB = Better Business Bureau, if they belong to it. call and ask the bbb..
thats more people calling the guy and working to fix your problem

At this point its not a `car`-its a damaged thing,,
does it have a Salvage or Rebuilt title??--meaning it was crashed bad and insurance company paid it off as a total loss,
then someone buys the car and `fixes` it and resells!

guaranteed that car has more problems you dont want to pay for!

Get your money back and buy a nice honda or toyota for now,,even a saturn is reliable for school, and low on the stolen list

the gen2 TL at this age and average miles over 100,000,, is looking at 1500$ timing belt service and tune up parts,,probably a few bearings or brake parts are worn out too

If they claim it was INSPECTED and you found this major problem with your eys,,whats hidden?

finally looked at pics after writing the above post

get your money back and RUN from that car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they didnt notice MASSIVE damage to the subframe?
the sway-bar is possibly bent too,,
lots of other parts took a shock loading and may fail soon
A real mechanic needs to look the car over--not the place that sold it

A JUDGE who doesnt know anything about cars,, will still look at the pics and say
`that was inspected and all was good?`
Judgement for the Plaintiff for 4000$ plus 2500$ penalty for emotional distress and personal danger they put you in on the road

oh yeah--the fraud part from the duct tape too....thats criminal department--down the hall Sir

can you post pic of the duct tape for us please

when he called me to get the car back, i went to a garage to inspect it, and they guy was like " Hey man theres some duck tape holding ur crossmember..." and then i didnt talk to the seller again... he wont give my money back, its a dickhead....

BUT...
the guy who made the inspection said it was the only thing i had 2 change ( with rear brake , ahha )... and this car is reaaaallllyyy looking good...... almost no rust at all... just that little part....

So i was wondering,
Is there a way they can pay me the part?
theres no other black acura tl "like i want" around here

Depends where you live as to what legal action you can take. I'm pre-law so I could offer my two cents if I knew the details. Otherwise that is fairly fucked up. Out of curiosity what do you speak?

I would most certainly buy another car. Get my money back and buy another. I love my Tl but its given me enough of a headache that I wouldn't buy it twice.

Speak with a lawyer and get some money back. At the very least, the cost to repair the member and other misc parts that should have been properly checked. Wonder if they are part of the BBB or not.

buying the car as it was and dealing with a shady seller will most certainly cause you more headache in the future...

so what if youre looking for a black TL...just wait and more will come around...just kuz you want it so bad doesnt mean its smart to get a half assed one from a shady seller...

i waited and searched for 4 months before i finally bought a used durango...and i did the same thing when i bought my '57 bug...imagine searching/inspecting a car thats older than your dad...when the right one comes, itll come...dont rush buying an expensive item unless its worth it

a broken front member would have been a red flag already...and to see the duct tape repair i would have called the cops...at least theyll write an official report about it

Well if you're going to take it upon yourself to fix it how/why would you go after the seller then? Makes no sense. You're screwing yourself if you don't pursue it right away. BTW, I wouldn't pay with cash either.

Hmm, I wonder how that dealer would like to appear on the news @ 6:00?

lets hope it bolts right up!
meaning nothing else got bent during the event that broke the original one~

remember- it will need a trip to the alignment shop after install

good score!!
