Maintenance Required light randomly turned on

Hello,

The Acura 1999 TL with perfectly good fluids (level, colors) and not due for an oil change for close to another 5K Miles had its Maintenance Required light come on during the morning commute. No issues with this car in the few weeks I have had it, so I am wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them, if it's a real cause for alarms, or if possibly the last time the oil was changed, the mechanic forgot to reset the light.

It's in the owner's manual:

Yes, I have the owners manual. I was going to refer to it, thank you. So here's the deal - it is doing what it does at 7500 miles - indicator has stayed on as a constant reminder. I am just curious how this could happen with the oil change occurring recently and I've only had this car from the 2nd owner for a few weeks. He told me he has had no mechanical issues with the vehicle.

You just need to reset the reminder. That's all it is, a reminder.
