Question Lazy ignition start

my TL-P (2002) has had the stock battery now at a mileage of 65,000 miles. Recently I've noticed that when I turn the key to start the car, the ignition takes longer to start the engine.

I am not sure if this a battery issue. Is the hot weather to blame? How long did the stock battery last for you guys?

Battery problem. Speaking of those, however, I left a maplight on in my TL for 36 hours recently and the battery didn't lose charge at all. The car didn't cut it off, I noticed it when I got back to it - it was still on and hot to the touch.

How many years have you had the stock battery?

Yeah (was on other thread) - slow crank is definitely not the key issue.

but you'll find one for honda accord. that'll work--just make sure it fits in your battery well. red top's fine unless you're running a/v units that draw a lot of power. i found costco to have the best prices on optima red top.
