Horrible XS header review

Ok guys, im a bit new here but now new to forums in general. Im on ls1tech and nor cal lsx.

Anyway, i was looking to buy headers and saw some decent reviews for the XS headers, which ive never heard of. But i decided to give em a shot. I ordered last night and called a few times today to ask some real general questions. After i finally got through, dude was pretty rude. After we finish talking he textes me some more rude ass shit. Anyway, horrible experience overall. I"ll post the screenshots of the messeges when i get home.

not to be rude, butt, you're buying second hand from some one?
or is this a shop? a business?
from your paragraph it really sounds like you're buying this used from someone. hope this is the case. and would explain the rudeness. and texting.

if its a business....

I hope the product is better than the company.
however, the time to ask questions is before you place the order.
Is it too late to cancel the order and get some elsewhere?

Thats just the thing. I called around 10am yesterday to ask some general questions but no one answered. I placed the order anyway because of the decent reviews. After finally getting through that's when i got hammered for my phone calls. There going to refund me but "take their sweet ass time" as the salesman told me via text.

Maybe im Just use to summit racings 24 hour customer service and top notch quality. Either way i shouldnt have been treated that way. I'll post pics of the screenshots when im home.

Things must have gone downhill. I ordered from the site directly, and they even matched their ebay pricing too. This was years ago though. Headers are still good today, no leaks or problems at all (knocks on wood).

So here's the messages that were sent to me if anyone cares to read how they handle/treat customers.

Wish I would have read this post from user FWC in a 2012 thread.

"Post pics of what they sent you, I ordered from them back in August and had to battle out a refund cuz they sent me ebay-like crap. I lost out on shipping but got the refund as ordered by Paypal. I'm sick of stories like this back and forth with this shitty company. Hopefully they have turned their business around but I doubt it. I REALLY CAUTION ANYONE ELSE THAT WANTS TO DEAL WITH SSAUTOCHROME TO BE PREPARED FOR ANYTHING. I have since ordered DC Headers and will install them soon (I'm auto tranny so bend doesn't really affect me).
I'd like to see pics of the J-pipe they sent too, the one I got had 2 flexpipes and the headers weren't badged."

LOL, what a joke. I can't believe he said that!

Guess there's a reason they got banned from eBay. Wow, that's just unbelievable.

Couldn't believe i read those responses from them. so much so that i looked at their website and saw the customer service phone number like you said and it matched. Definitely take your money elsewhere. And thanks for the heads up on their service. Im sure others will appreciate not having to go through what you went through just my

Is there more to the texts than what you posted? It seems odd that the first response would be like that. Also others recently have great CS.

Where exactly did you order them through?

I was not with the company in August when you placed your order. Please email me (xspowerj@gmail.com) with the emails and any other information you have in regards to the order, and I will go back and try to figure out what happened / why you got the responses (or lack there of) that you did.

As I said before, I understand that some of you are still skeptical as you've had or witnessed a bad experience with us in the past. I ask you to give us another chance. Please contact me directly if you need anything.

no there were no other text messages other than what I posted. I pretty much had the same questions as that Matt guy you posted. I was curious to know when they will ship and if I will receive a tracking number. after a few times of them not answering the phone I started to question if they were still in business.

I understand if you cant afford a secretary, but at least make an effort to answer calls or do call backs in a timely manner. But dont give your customer a bad lip because hes calling to ask a few questions.

It really doesn't matter what the situation is. If you call a customer "a fucking baby" then you've never had any respect for your customers in the first place.

Ok guys i have an update. so apparently my order from them was never cancelled. it shipped out anyway. i contacted them and said i would still take the headers but only with a partial refund. the owner was cool and understanding. they refunded me $75 bucks. on top of that the douch who was talking crap to me was fired.

the headers came in today, and my OBX underdrive pulley =)

the headers are real nice. no complaints. everything turned out ok. just thought i give an update. oh...the pulley is sweet also! only 1 pound!

Happy to see that your issue was resolved. I've heard horrible customer service stories about this company, but it looks like they're trying to fix that. Maybe I should consider coping a set before they take a turn for the worst again.

So the headers are on. It was a real easy install. My converter bolts came loose really easy with a braker bar. Fitment was great. It pulls nice. I decided to return the obx pulley tho. Im a bit skeptical whether its money well spent. I feel it wont make a huge difference...so i bought two front tires instead and cross drilled slotted rotors.

I'll post pics of the car soon

flush02 what tires you buy ? i have been on the fence over what tires to get for like a week pulling my hair out lol ... i'm mainly looking for good grip for the strip. willing to sacrifice some winter performance. i am looking at these 4 - hankook rs3, hankook v12 evo2, bf goodrich g-force sport comp 2, & dunlop direzza dz101 ... are any of these 4 going to be significantly better than the other 3 choices? or will all get about the same traction?

I highly suggest going on www.tirerack.com and reading the individual overall reviews for each tire. Unless the OP has had every single one of those tires, there's not much chance he/she will be able to give personal feedback on the tires.

^^^ good point lol ... i can see now that i kinda rambled ... ill stick with "what tires did you get" for the OP & add what is the main purpose for your tires i.e. mainly dd/all weather, or more for the strip?

I was on a budget so I found some tires on eBay for 140. they are mile Star Sports. they have a soft side wall which make it easier to hook. with traction off in first gear I barely spIn.
