Gas mileage - winter gas???

Well I know we have talked about gas mileage pretty much every way, but I just got by far the worst mileage I have ever got. It is interesting, the driving was ALL city with only a few trips over 10 miles. Basically to and from school multiple times a day. I drove the same as always...usually calm with the occational WOT just to get some fun from the headers

anyway, I got just above 17mpg! I will see how this next tank goes, but I wonder if it was bad gas...or just a factor of winter gas with only short city trips.

BTW I always get 91 octane

17 is bad but i've gotton worse. The last two times i remember calculating mileage i got 14 the one tank and 15 the next. This was about a month ago too before i think the gas companies put the winter addative in. I even posted it here

interesting...
i havent had a decrease in gas mileage recently... i've always averaged 18-20 mpg driving mostly local and some short distances on freeways.

the lowest i ever got was 14mpg, but that was when i first got the car and didnt believe in shifting before 5000rpm

I'm gettin bad gas mileage also. i've gone like 107 miles and the gas guage needle is sitting barely above the half tank mark. I calculated my MPG last fill up i got 17.3 mpg. I think ima try a different gas station. I think something fishy w/ the gas at the Chevron at San Gabriel and Mission.
