Clock Spring Help

I have an Acura TL-S 2003 and the SRS light is on and the reset method is ineffective. The part number for the clock spring is 77900-S84-A51.

I was wonder if I can put in a Honda Accord 2002 EX clock spring with a part number of 77900-S84-A41 will it be compatible?

Thanks

Why would you need the clock spring? Do you know that is the issue? Have you had the system diagnosed or code read from the SRS system?

same question--how was srs prob diagnosed

the passenger seat occupant detector is often at fault,,, and was covered under a special 10 year 150kmiles `secret warranty`

call acura care 1 800 382 2238x5 register as owner and ask them to look up special warranties book...need cars VIN handy to register

if covered VIN, call dealer for appointment
an 03 is certainly worth a few minutes to save 400$

True dis.

Usually, but not always, if an Acura/Honda comes in with a SRS light on caused by a bad clock spring, the light is normally accompanied by an inoperable horn and cruise/radio control operation.

Swing by a reputable automotive service facility and ask them if they would assist in checking codes in the SRS module. Then report back with that code.

I went to a local shop to get the code and it said Dtc11-1.

DTC 11-1: Open or Increased Resistance in Driver's Side Airbag Inflator

The car has a Salvaged title, dealer said they are unable to perform any warranty.

I had this car for over 4 years the SRS just turned on when I hit my knee againt the steering wheel.

there may be a way around salvage

a RECALL to install new airbag inflator module was issued for many of us,, in the last year or so
Lots of cars still did not get in for the repair

ck your vin, recalls are way different than warranty,,as in government mandated--
and may apply even in salvage

call 1 800 382 2238x5 acura care
or speak in person with the service manager to see if covered
NOT the phone girl who takes appointments or the service writer who doesnt know or care about your car!

Have you checked the connection under the steering column? There are a couple srs connections to look at under the dash/column i would look at first.
