bring your own oil to dealer?
well, i would like to change the oil myself, but don't have the time.
i would like to use mobil 1 5w-30 though (non-synthetic). so has anyone bought their own oil and took it to the dealership? does it cost less if you do that (i noticed that more than 1/2 the cost was the oil itself during the oil change)?
also, anything else you can say relating to the topic is very much appreciated.

I find only Mobil 1 synthetic oil at the local store and the lowest price is about 3.50 a quart. The oil drain plug and the filter can be reached easily so I changed the oil myself. I am using 0w-30 Mobil 1 during the winter.

For the time it takes you to bring the car to the dealer for the oil change, you might as well do the change yourself, and know it's done right. You give em some nice good oil, they keep it and give you their regular stuff...you never know.
I mean if you wanna do it this way, just bring your oil to any local garage, pay them $10 and watch them do it in front of you. (Tell em not to twist things too tightly)
