99 TL-code 1399 (random/multiple cylinder misfire)

Plugged her in and code 1399 came up w no secondary code(s). I’ve tried scanning the forums here but haven’t seen it or haven’t looked hard enough lol. My guess is a bad spark plug or valve clearance/adjustment 🤞🏼 Not too sure what my first/cheapest step should be to fixing the issue and hoping someone here can help me out 🙏🏼 Appreciate any and all feedback 😁 Thank You in advance 😉 ✌🏼 |
I went to the top of the 2g forum and searched for "p1399" and found that a lot of solutions for this problem involved inspecting & cleaning the EGR system. followed up by spark plugs, and then coils.
It should take about 5-10 minutes to remove the intake manifold cover and inspect the throttle body passages. if your car's throttle body appears to have clogged EGR ports/passages, that might be all that's needed. There are other DIY's here in the forum, had a hard time looking for them, but that's probably because I haven't had coffee yet today. |
