Mine does not. I do have the spoiler. Don't remember if it did before I got it. I hardly use the remote anyway. I usually don't reach for it in my pocket, I just use the button above the license plate.

They're supposed to pop just an inch or so.

It's a trunk release, rather than opener. This deprives me of the opportunity to launch infants off the trunk at the push of a button, but so be it. The glass is half-full.

why bother.... if you want it to pop up higher, just put in a bigger strong-arm.... like i said, WHY??? it's great the way it is regardless of how high the trunk pop (I used the strong arm that came with the deck lid spoiler)

My RL and TL only popped up less than an inch.
I believe Acura's logic was to keep rain from soaking the trunk and water gushing into the trunk. This was very likely on the TL's concave shaped trunk lid.
From experience with a family Toyota, where the trunk opened entirely, it was caught in a wind gust and flew open with force that caused sheet metal to bend, if slightly, where the trunk mounts were attached.

I had the trunk spoiler on my RL and the trunk popped open less than an inch and then settled down. No big deal, I adjusted to that. ...and where've you been, Tampa, glad to see you back.

And Tampa, it is great to have you back! You just reminded me I need to take a new picture to throw in the library!
