Torque Converter

I'm posting this with Torque Converter as subject because that's what the mechanic "thinks" will fix my 2007 RL. From a dead stop if I accelerate hard the car shudders (almost like a miss fire)...you can actually watch the tach stutter as it climbs. There is no whine or any other noise coming from the transmission. It shifts great at all speeds. It decelerates with no problem and no issues. I also notice when I accelerate hard that it almost feels like a small amount of slack as soon as the accelerator is pressed but only at take off. I've replaced both front and rear motor mounts and tie rods (one of my motor mounts were terrible) hoping that would fix the slack...however it did not...not sure if this has anything to do with acceleration stutter but figured it was worth mentioning. I'm definitely no mechanic, but I really don't think it is the TC from things I have read here. Any ideas???

2011 Acura RL TSBs (Technical Service Bulletins) | AcuraProblems.com
Description: SERVICE BULLETIN - A SURGE, VIBRATION, OR JUDDER MAY BE FELT WHILE DRIVING UNDER LIGHT ACCELERATION. THE TORQUE CONVERTER WILL BE REPLACED AND THE PCM SOFTWARE WILL BE UPDATED.
  • Date ReportedMARCH 01, 2016
  • NHTSA Reference#10087550
  • TSB Reference#B16-003

Had this problem and showed this TSB to my dealer who then upgrade the electrical software and replaced the transmission fluids and the improvement was over 90%
Then I had the dealer replaced the torque converter and fluids and my RL ran like new 100%, dealer advised after 2 months the transmission fluid must be replaced again.
This a fantastic transmission update which I think may fix your problem and I thought at first was my motor mounts was the problem which my dealer replaced but did not improve.
I would not trust any aftermarket products and dealer service only.
This TSB is fully covered by Acura and you may have to only for the fluid replacement.
All the best and I hope this helps
