Normal for some features to not work/act up when not using key fob?
I just bought a used 05 RL from a local dealer.
They just got the car a couple days before I bought it and told me they're getting the key fob replaced because it wasn't functioning properly. So they gave me the key section of the key but not the fob (ie I have to put the key in the ignition to start the car and lock the car, door handle button doesn't work)
So now, the nav works and I was able to set the bluetooth to my phone but when I changed the background color on the nav and some other settings - after a little bit it went back to the old settings. Also the auto headlights don't shut off when I exit the car when put in "auto" mode.
Curious if all this stuff is because I am missing the fob, or if I should have the nav looked at soon?

I would expect that the settings would revert after you lock/unlock the car without the fob. However, the auto headlights not going off surprises me. They will even go off after a while if you have them in full "on" mode.
