Does your calendar still work in 2022?
Does your calendar still work in 2022?
I drove this evening and my clock was an hour off. So I went to the calendar and the date defaults to May 2002.
I thought the car got time from gps, but is it from some 3g network that got shut down?
Disappointing to have it lose track of the date because I used the calendar for reminders.
Any workarounds?

I wonder if a new Nav disk would make a difference? Seems like the system settings should include setting the date manually, rather than solely automatic.
Today my car shows Jan 1 2002. Unclear why the calendar would even go back to a date prior to the car's model year!

One solution is to try to revert back to your old DVD through diagnostic menu. This should correct the time.
And if you have a newer disc, then just update to that one. I am planning to revert from 2017 disc, back to 2010 and then update to 2017.
If my 2017 update was the culprit for the issue, then I will just revert back to 2010 and keep using it.

Drove the car for the first time today since Dec 30, and I see my 2012 RL clock is also an hour off (+1Hr ahead) now in 2022. I am using the nav disc from 2016 or 2017 (can't remember exactly which year as I got the update discs shortly after I bought the car in the fall of 2016). Do we know if the newest nav update discs will correct this?

Just an update: Yesterday I contacted Acura Client Relations via email and got a case #. Today I received a call from a representative who stated that someone from Acura would be calling me in couple of days about this issues.

I've tried many things to get it corrected but no avail. Even the manual changes I try to make in the clock settings are having zero effect.
My Service REP was off yesterday but will check in with him later today.
Kind of sad for this to happen and oddly enough I had to explain to my 18 year old about the Y2K bug hysteria that occurred before he was born.

Hello
I am from germany. I have a 07 Honda Legend (which is pretty the same like the Acura RL) and have the same problem. I think it have to do with the "GPS week roll over". The navi says 2002-05-21, which is a offset of 1024 weeks. I tried to set the date manual in the service menu to 2022-01-04, but that won't work. Then I tried to set it to 2012-01-04. That worked for a while, and the clock was working right. But then the navi "overwrite" the date again, and the clock jumped one hour. In the clock setting I saw it is on summertime ( it thinks it is May). I turned off the "automatic summertime". Clock is working again, but I think I have to set it manually twice a year.
I don't understand why we have this problem now, and not in 2019, when the rollover was. I have the newest DVD from 2018. This was the last. I don't think Honda will make one again for this old cars.
There are also many TL drivers that have this problem.

OMG, mine too. My clock is suddenly an hour off when I drove it on Wednesday after being on vacation since 12/25. It also does, it allow me to manually change clock. If anyone hears back from Acura, please post. I also just submitted a case w/Acura via email for this issue.

Mine is a 2005 RL having same issue; calendar year is 2002 and clock is one hour fast. Glad I found this forum as at least now I know there is nothing I can do about it at this time. I guess we will just have to wait. I will submit a help request to Acura so if they have to send out new nav update disks to fix it, I will be on the list.

Soon to be fixed?!?
According to the ServiceNews Article from Acura we should see the fix for this issue very soon (8/17/2022 according to the article).

Feels like it has been forever...
If your solution was to apply electrical tape to the clock display you might [skeptical] be able to remove it soon...

Hopped into the car and started it up at 6:24am, and the clock immediately went to 2:56 (not sure if am or pm). The calendar showed January 1 2003, instead of 2002.
It finally dawned on me to try using the Clock set feature (which previously wouldn't take), and it let me set the clock to correct time.
And it seemed to retain the time when I powered up the car a second time.
Unfortunately, I haven't figured out a way to set the date..... I liked the calendar feature.

When clock started working again on the 17th, my car showed 2 hours ahead, so I was able to adjust it. Looks like Auto Time zone and Auto Daylight Savings options do nothing at the moment. I would also like Honda to fix it with some sort of an update.

I want to say it was a couple of months ago my clock was showing the correct time, but it was fast by about 6 minutes.
On the 17th, my clock jumped foward roughly 4 hours. I haven't tried manually adjusting the time. I'll have to remember to do that the next time that I get in the car.
