Weather forecast has it as high 37 celcius today in Toronto. It's days like this that the ventilated seats really shine. I just noticed the air comes out of the seat but also the back. The bit of extra money to upgrade to the fully loaded version is really worth it!

Our highs are between 62-68 degrees (17-20 Celsius) in ABQ, New Mexico. We still have another 2-4 weeks before with get even close to those temps. I am still wearing my winter riding gear when I rode my bike into work this morning (38-40 degrees at 5:30am).

I have ventilated seats on my 2G MDX and I will never purchase a another car without them. I've noticed the ventilated seats work better if you are wearing more breathable materials instead of something like thicker blue jeans.

Ventilated seats were one of my mandatory requirements when I was shopping for the RDX. We don’t get to use them in really warm/humid weather too often.

I do appreciate the ventilated seats when driving home from workouts at the gym.

Sounds like something worth trading in for.

I sister-in-law has an Lexus IS250 and she added cooled seats as a dealer installed option. I wish that was an option for other trim levels other than having to purchase the Adv version for them.

I have ventilated seats in my Sorento. LOVE this feature and wanted it forever ago. Summer can get hot and humid here = backsweat central. But by far I prefer the actively cooled seats (A.K.A lincoln) over ventilated seats. Although obviously choosing between ventilated and non ventilated I would take ventilated 100% of the time.

Cooled seats takenit to the next level to the point where you feel like you are sitting on a cold stone surface.

I have a 2016 RDX Advance black on black so it gets pretty hot in the warmer weather. Supposed to be 90+ degrees tomorrow here in SW CT. Yeah, love the ventilated seats. Also, the HVAC system is one of the best I’ve ever experienced. In no time one form ice crystals in the cabin! You know what I mean.

How do you know if you have ventilated seats? Would it be like a seat warming button but have cold associated with it? I rented a mustang in Cali last year that had that, didn't know it could come in an Acura truck as well. Have to look into that for the next one.

Only the Advance versions of the RDX, RLX, MDX and TLX have cooled front seats options. They are just fans in the seat bottom and lower back area that suck air away. They really need to be a dealer installed option or provided on the tech levels since the tech version of Acura line up across all models seem to be the most popular to purchase.

I don't think the air is sucked away, rather air is blown through the perforated holes, based on my 1st hand experience.

I agree. With the extreme heat the past couple days I used the ventilated seats and yes it does feel like it's blowing the air through the perforated holes rather than sucked away.

It blows the air out vs sucking it in.

Absolutely. How does the HVAC make the air cold so fast? Science is amazing.
