I am interested in purchasing a 2017 RDX Base and was wondering if it was possible to install an aftermarket headunit from Pioneer with Carplay? I did a quick search and couldnt find any dash kits or any threads on the subject.

IMHO the days of being able to do something like that are over, bud.

 

IMO it would be very difficult or nearly impossible and not worth the effort. Not to mention it would void all types of warrantees. I would just rethink getting a higher level trim that comes with the ELS sound system. The ELS is quite good.

 

James, Either get the tech / advance version or if you really want CarPlay in the RDX, then may be wait a few years till the third gen RDX is released.
I concur that the ELS audio is worth it.
