Who has bought headers from ssautochrome??

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

I think I have read that 2 people from this forum have bought from them. I was thinking about investing in a set and would like to hear how they are holding up?
Thanks

Do you have an auto or 6 speed? ...DC sports just came out with a header for the V6 TL/CL and accord ....they priced very well and DC Sports is a very good company when it comes to performancee parts.

With regards to headers, I haven't heard too many problems but heard a lot of problems regarding turbos and stuff on other forums. I had comptech headers back a few months ago without any problems. Believe they were on my car for about 2 years, no issues. Good luck on whatever you decide.

i have read up on alot of the parts. If u do a search on google u will see what other forums had to say. Alot of the manifolds and headers tend to crack and the turbo's fell apart since they were glued together. Some people were lucky and haven't had anything break or fall apart but it still might. Locally a shop down here had the same problem with one of their turbo's falling part due to them gluing them together. Another problem i seen with their products if they don't seem to fit right on certain applications. I personally bought a turbo for a DSM and it said it would fit sure enough i get the turbo home and its not even the same flange. Its like the old say u get what u pay for.

Those are the headers Fuzzy got for his 6spd. He said they fit with no problems and look like they have good welds. He said he has had no problems so far including resonance(sp?).

Ill probably be getting a set of these this summer. I would rather experimnent with a $150 set of headers than paying 1K+ for comptech.

Stay away from SSAC or SS Auto Chrome. Many of their exhaust manifolds have cracked or had poor fitment. Go onto www.honda-tech.com and search ss auto chrome and you will get a million threads about the poor quality of the parts.

I have a set of these headers but I haven't installed them yet. The welds look good and they seem like a pretty good quality. Just like Fuzzy's, mine are actually "XS Power". Not made by SSAutoChrome.

I'll keep you guys posted if I ever get them installed. Like I told Fuzzy though, even if they suck, I'm only out by $150 bucks. Worth a shot IMHO.

Are they the same company? I'm not sure. They say they aren't but I found info that they are.
Am I the only one to install them, maybe? But I tell you what.....For $150 I got at least equal power as the CT's, & they don't look or sound any different then CT's. I had CT's on my old 6mt.
Here's the link to the pics I posted before...
http://community.webshots.com/album/511802522DXSroo

I didn't have any fitment issues, & these are the only copies I've seen that use the same compression gaskets that the stock & CT ones use.

Quailty isn't CT, but it's close enough to me.

Will they have problems in 2+ years? I don't know?
In fact I bought a 2nd set of these just in case. For the $$ it's worth it to me.

They best headers I think for our cars are: Comptech, Alpha Werks (if you dont get a fitment issue) , DC Sports

The Alpha Werks and DC Sports dont fit the 6spd, which is what the OP was looking for. Comptech or XS power is the only option

I just won the SS Auto Chrome headers on ebay for 186 shipped to my house. I don't think you can go wrong for the price. I'll report back to you all with more info and all that good stuff as soon as they are on

if you got a 6spd then xspower and comptech are your only option. i got the xs power because the price was to good to pass up. like fuzzy says quality is no ct but for 150 it's good and the gains are there as well. i'm glad i got mine.

these headers are popular on the 1st gen forum so do search there. I have a set that I've been waiting to install. I've heard nothing but good things about them.

I've had the XSPower Headers on for a month now and have no problems. I ordered them off ebay for 150bucks and they were shipped to my house in 3 days. I had no fitment or resonance issues with these headers and the quality of the welds on these headers seem to be pretty good. The power gains from these headers are there i was able to put down 253whp with these headers, just do a search for XSPower headers...you will find plenty of reading.

I just got mine yesterday, also from ebay. Quick shipping even to Canada.

I ordered factory gaskets and I plan to do the install on the long weekend.

The headers I got seemed to need a bit of cleaning (some metal bits around the flanges).

I may also sand some of the welds a bit more. Definately worth the money though.

I bought a set of OBX headers from them a few years ago, no problem with the transaction but the headers were crap, started leaking and cracking within a month.
Went Comptech and never looked back.

fuzzy, how was the power increase? Noticable on the "butt dyno" or did you get your car dyno'd by any chance? Mine just arrived at my doorstep...

Try checking out the XS Power Owner Thread located here onsite. I'd post a link, but not too computer savvy ya know... Have been lurking there for a while doing some "research" for a possible future purchase...
