I just recently got my CLS 01's oil change done, and the guy at the lube shop told me to get a transmission oil flush...I got the car @ 33K from dealer with everything done on it, its @ 50 K , and I believe its the approp time to get it..


Do you think its worth getting the tranny flush done from Dealer? I haven't checked about a price quote from a dealer,, but folks @ the lube shop told me a price of $175 for a flush? is it reasonable?

What fluid should I be putting it ? Honda ATF something?

Any good places in NYC to go to, if not the dealer? I don't want to screw up my tranny..

ONLY HONDA ATF. It's time if it's never been done before or it's dirty. I would let a dealer do it so there's no question about service if you make a warranty claim. BTW, 7 year/100,000 warranty on tranny. Do a search-there is a vast difference in a flush and a change. Some say flushes are too severe while others swear by them.

use https://www.amsoil.com/storefront/atf.aspx synthetic,, no warranty issues,, my tranny failed and it is a known design flaw and not a oil issue. Use synthetic , it exceeds honda z1 requirements. It has been tested by Amsoil and will not cause warranty issues.
