Squeaking noise from engine bay/accelaration delay, clunk
I have an appointment at PAA on December 10th....
What do u think this could be?
i'm thinking timing belt for the first issue and tranny malfunction for the second issue...
i get a loaner, and hopefully Jens will diagnose then.....
nothing worse than hearing "we found nothing wrong with your car"....

- squeaking noise from engine bay, specifically the belts, gets louder on idle
- acceleration delay when hitting the gas from a roll, then a clunk

its not expensive. there are 3 motor mount that are under the engine. its pretty much a rubber mount that just dampens the motor movement..
When you hear that thump it is because the motor mount is not absorbing the motor movement...

My bet is on a radial rod or control arm (or to be even less specific, one of the parts in the pic below).
I've had 2 clunks in the front suspension. First required that they replace the lower control arm
(at 7500 miles).
Second, they are overnighting a radius rod. CLS is still at the dealer (15k service), so I got to drive home a really nice 2004 Dodge Neon
I've only dumped the clutch enough to cause wheel hop maybe about 1/2 dozen times. I drive fast, but I don't launch hard.
BTW, if you do a search radius rod, radius arm, radial arm, or radial rod, you'll get alot of interesting reading material about the front suspension of the CLS. Some of this is concerning curing the Wheel Hop problem with our cars.
It's amazing what a search will pull up here

that looks expensive... she's out of warranty already....
i guess i should lube myself up for preparation huh???
sounds more like the tranny honestly. she accelarates, but its like there is a delay on the accelaration.... like it accelarates semi-sluggishly as soon as i hit the gas... then it takes off after the clunk as its suppose to
