Some wiring questions/TL Fog light switch

Some wiring questions/TL Fog light switch
I need some help. I'm trying to use the TL fog light switch to wire some fogs into my 6 speed. On a TL it's easy cause the wire harness is there. The CLS doesn't have it. I have the pin outs of the switch, & know what wires need to go where. However I can't find any kind of connector to plug into the switch. I tired to get some small spade connectors to slide over the metal termials in the switch, but nothing fits. Any suggestions? Anyone use the TL switch before?
Also I want to wire the switched power into the side marker lights. What wire colors are they? Can I access them from under the car from the panel you remove to install a CAI, or do I need to take the headlight out?
Any help would be great.
Thanks

Hey, did you find any information about this?
I just bought a TL switch at the local dealer, and found out my car has no harness for the switch either. If I remember correctly, the dealer said if the harness isn't in there, he could get one for me...I need to check that.
what fog's are you trying to wire in? I'm trying to get the switch hooked up to some Hella Micro DE's, which unfortunately stopped working a week ago....and I have yet to figure out the problem.
Let me know what you found out if anything,
Oscar

Get your power on from the light switch next to it that controls the VSA.
Pin Definitions
Pin #1 (0 to 12 VDC potential)
Pin #2 12 volt DC output.
Pin #3 12 volt DC input.
Pin #4 12 volt DC input.
Pin #5 ground
Connections Steps
1. Jump pins #3 and #4 together.
2. Tab from the red wire with a black stripe out of the VSA Switch.
3. Connect the other end of wire in step 2 to either pins 3 or 4.
4. Connect pin #5 to a good ground (metal chassis).
5. Tab from the red wire out of the VSA Switch.
6. Connect the other end of wire in step 5 to pin #1.
6. Connect pin #2 to the input of an 8787A relay.
The relay may be found at Autozone.
From pin #2 (I will try to illustrate an 8787A relay below)
.................... I-------------------I
.______0___I___vvvvvvvv__I__1__
.....................I........................I
.............2___I_____ L_____ I__3 to fog light
.....................I____________I__4 to fog light
The relay connections labeled above as 0 to 4
Relay pin #0 is connected to the fog switch pin #2
Relay pin #1 is connected to ground. (Chassis)
Relay pin #2 is connected to baterry positive via and in-line fuse.
(Fuse size will depend on bulb wattage)
use the following formula
P=Power in watts
V=Voltage in Volts DC = 12 for cars
I=Current in amps
P = V X I
P/V =I
Example:
Using 18 watt bulbs
18/12= 1.5 amps per fog ligh
1.5 X 2 fog lights = 3 amps.
Your fuse should be between higher than 3 amps and a maximum of 1/2 amp higher 3.5 in thi case.
Any fuse at or lower than 3 amps will blow instantly.
Relay pin #3 is connected to positive on fog ligh#1.
Relay pin #4 is connected to positive on fog ligh#2.
Operation is as follows.
When you turn on your parking lights the switch will be illuminated just as the rest of the lights in the dash are.
Once you press the switch, the green light will come "on" and 12 volts from pin#2 is going to energize the relay. The connection in the relay closes allowing 12 volts from the battery to go to your lights.
Any time your parking lights are on your fog lights will work with the switch independent of to your headlights.
You can turn your fog lights on and off with the switch as long as your parking are on. Also this configuration allows for the fogs lights to turn off when you remotely lock your car.
Please PM me for additional questions and let me know if this helped someone.
