Some questions:
1) I am considering the following setup:

Pads: Upgrade the pad to Axxis Metal Master. What do you think about those pads? Do they squeak? Dust too much? do you like them? What is the correct part number for the 01-CL?
I noted that TL and CL have different part number for those pads.

Also those are from PBR who makes the Axxi Metal Master:

Front: D 787 RM $38.25, Rear: R D 708 RM $27.75

2) Brembo Blanks: What is better than brembo blanks? i would love get them E-coated to protect them from rust. Anyone know where I can find coated brembo blanks?

3) Goodridge SS line: not sure if this is needed or makes a difference, What do you think? if you have them do you like them?

1. Lines make such a huge difference...more firmness in the pedal and no brake fade when at full stop...
2. Cl and Tl should have the same part number...check that because they use the same pads from Honda/Acura
3. I think all brembo blanks are coated to prevent rust...not sure though
4. I just installed my PRB metal master pads about 2 hours ago along w/ my Powerstop rotors. The rotors are Gold-cadium plated to prevent rust and Cross drilled only...paid $119 per rotor at powerstop.com.....so far.....excellent quality. The rotors that Comptech sells for our cars...not the Brembo big brake kit...the replacements...are Powerstop, so if Comptech trusts them w/ their name on it...then so do I!!!!!!

Nashua, I have the axxis metal masters and they do squeak ALOT before the brakes warm up....i am thinking about switching them for endless, you may want to consider something else

Don't worry about the brake lines--they are worthless.

There is no difference in pedal feel at all.

Well worth the money!!!


As for the MM pads, mine do NOT squeak at all, but they are DUSTY!!!!!!!!!! I am thinking of changing them out, but the do STOP ME FAST!!!!


I have the comptech X drilled rotors, and they are AWESOME!!!

what other brake pad option we have? how about the Ceramic/Kavlar Axxime Ultimate pads?

i've used the metal masters in the past and liked them, no squeeking unless they were dirty and the squeek was from the brake dust.


AEM makes pads, but they are basically stock pads that are a little firmer




nashua, stay away from kevlar pads, they will rip rotors apart

1. Kevlar pads suck ass!!!
2. Comptech X drilled rotors ARE POWERSTOP ROTORS!!!
3. Vrake squeel is caused by the shims...not the pads. The metal master pads and most other aftermarket pads DO NOT COME WITH SHIMS!!!!!!!Take the shims off of your stock pads and use some brake grease in between the pad back and the shims themselves....not between the last shim and the piston.....WALLAH...NO BRAKE SQUEEL!!!!If you have the shims installed and they squeel...then take them off and apply some brake disc quiet grease (buy at pepboys) and it will go away. If you don't have shims...get them. The actuall squeel is the shims (if dry) vibrating and if no shims---then it is the pad vibrating against the piston itself!!!!Squeel can also be caused by moisture on the pads if it is humid out or if they are dirty. That's it...the actuall quality or material of the pad has no effect on the squeel!!
4. SS lines...the most felt improvement in brake systems period!!!!!
5. Both the pads and rotors that I've installed so far are EXCELLENT.....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

i'm gonna do pads and lines. the rotors are for looks imo, and mine aren't warped, so...

what is the best all around pad? i don't want squeel or much dust.
