Polishing intake manifold

If I wanted to polish just my intake manifold would it even be worth the time? I don't want to do any port matching and all that if I could get some gains from just doing the manifold ill stick with that also, not going for a MIRROR look finish either but if I can smooth out the cast marks and make it smoother inside might do that when I install the MDX spacer soon

let me know what you guys think

not sure if this will get much attention but that's ok with me and It might seem sort of out of the box to why I would just only do the manifold

came in this UGLY blue paint, and i had to spend time grinding the paint off.

i dont have any pictures of the ports...but they were a tiny bit larger than my stock one.
IT did come with a larger diameter throttle body, that some one bored!

I think only a dyno would prove any gains as it's probably in the 5whp range from porting a manifold and runners, so nothing you would feel that much. If you have the time, I would smooth out the casting marks and gasket match the openings. Just flip the manifold upside down and place the gasket in it's proper place. You can scribe a line or use marker to draw on the area that will need to be removed. It's super easy and you just need a rotary tool with different grit wheels. I didn't go mirror finish either.

That is exactly what I want to do! did you take the plenums off as well? im thinking since I polished the mdx spacer ports using an 80 grit flap wheel and a 120 grit that should do the trick right?

Welcome back! What are you driving these days? Did you have a lot of weight reduction with the 13.3 pass? What tires were you running?

I just did this over the weekend. I used VHT wrinkle plus to give it a nice texture and also with the valve covers I used VHT wrinkle plus turned out really good
