$160 is alot of money for that motorized one.. i bet the cops would still give you a ticket for not having it displayed. You may fool one or two, but not all of them. The manual one isnt that bad for $60, just dont forget to flip it up while you are driving!
I think I am going to come up with something where the plate doesn't sit on the bumper like some of the other guys did on here. Thats only if I can get my bumper painted for cheap.
Is it legal to cut your plates? I know that you have to give them back to the motor vehicle dept if you get rid of your car or get new plates. Im wondering if they'll charge you for damaging the plate or something.

well i had rocked a home-made bracket I made with some pieces from a hardware store when my friend got pulled over in my car for no front plate and he got a ticket lol
but that was like for a week after the incident then I went back to no front plate because I have no dealer bracket and that looks better than having it on or zip tying it to the black under grill thingy.
Ive been driving around without the plate on since september and have had no problems with police or parking tickets
