113 is the highest the temp guage will read. I've seen it in CA a few times since January when I bought my car.

Wimps!!

You can adjust the temp up or down 3 degrees. I had to adjust mine down the full 3 degrees and it now seems more accurate. It's hard to tell though... the only temperature readings I see while I'm driving are bank thermometers which are insanely inaccurate. It's like they always put the thing in direct sunlight. I run by one every morning on my jog and if the sun is up it usually says something stupid like 127 degrees when it's only really about 90.

I don't mind when its hot....but when its super humid, where you feel like your swimming in the air (like wading through it)- can't stand it, drives me F*ing crazy.

Turn car on and take note of the temperature. Depress both the Select and Reset buttons simultaneously and keep them held down for at least 10-15 seconds. Eventually, you will hear a beeping sound and can see the display cycling through -3 -2 -1 0 1 2 3 over and over again. When you see the number you want (e.g - minus 3) let go of both buttons and you see the temperature on the display will have dropped 3 degrees. As far as I know, you can keep doing this over and over dropping or raising the temp by 3 degrees at a time.

It's been hot around here for weeks. I think last night was one of the few times that the low made it down into the sixties. I was able to go to work this morning with the sunroof and windows open and no a/c. It's about time for this heat to break isn't it?

Well I heard the Heat and HUmidity back home in NY was brutal these past two days. Everyone was saying it felt 105-110. Which is funny, cause that's the normal everyday here in PHX. Yesterday was brutal at times of the days it felt close to 120, and the high was offically 114. They put a therometer in a car in MN today on the weather channel. It has been extremly bad in that area recently. It read 182 degrees sitting on the vinyl dashboard. The person had cookies in their windsheild cooking them hahahah! But actually here in PHX when you get in your car if it sits outside from like 11-5. The car is about 150-170 degrees. You burn your skin on the steering wheel and shift know you can't touch anything for about 5 mins. I love it. Anthony

Hey Gold:

Come on now...I lived in Phoenix (99th and Camelback) for a year and the heat was NOTHING compared to what we're getting here in the Northeast right now. Try adding 60% relative humidity to your 108 degree days...that's what we deal with every summer!!! That gold CLS must look sharp out there in the desert, though, eh?

Hey, I grew up in the midwest. I know what heat and humidity is. Sorry, but the whole heat index thing is a freakin' sham! It is so much freakin' hotter out here it's not even funny.

You guys should try Oklahoma. We get it all. Highs of around 105-110 + humidity hovering around 60%. But we make up for it with temperatures that hover in the teens in winter.

We have to the overall worst weather in the nation. Did I mention tornadoes?

Gotta say I can't agree...Phoenix averaged about 108-109 the summer I was there and it wasn't that bad. I guess it's a preference thing. I like dry over humid. I grew up in Southern Florida, so I am a humidity expert!!

I must say though that despite our scorching summers, Nothing anywhere in the midwest can compare to our painted sunsets when the monsoons have decended upon us!! Amazing colors of red and pink flowing over a purple mountain range with dark black clouds above and countless strikes of lightning!! Sitting on my balcony and watching the sunset is the only thing that keeps me going at work.

Logan, you are so right... Here's a shot to show everyone else. I took this pic Saturday evening up on Squaw Peak. I've got a bunch of others in higher resolutions if anyone wants them. I uploaded a couple others to http://albums.photopoint.com/j/Album...a=13609393&f=0

The temp gauge in my car said 90 at 7:30am.
I might be able to barbecue on my hood later. Nice pics by the way.
