Help with rotor and pad install!
Hey guys I just bought the brakemotive rotors and pads and I was wondering what tools I'm going to need to install these babies because I'm going to my buddy's garage and he doesn't have tools. Thanks.

for the front you'll need a 12 mm for the brake hose a 14mm for the caliper shoes and a 17mm i believe it is for the caliper/knuckle bolts. I'd use at least an extended wrench to get the main 17mm bolts off as they will be stiff. I personally move up to a 1/2inch wratchet and socket for those bolts. you may want an extension or two just to make life a little easier but u don't need one.
you'll need a clamp (the ones at home depot with the handle/ quick grip work amazing) to push the caliper back into it's furthest position. (also it's good to remove the brake resivour cap to avoid extra pressure buildup)
when getting the rotors off and u'll probably have to hammer them off and basically work them off the car. (u'll see what i mean) then when the hub is exposed remove ALL RUST AND DIRT, with a wire brush wheel on a drill. apply layer of anti-seize to the hub to prevent future corrosion.
do not touch rotor face when installing them with anything. do not even put them down softly on an uneven surface. straight from the box to the hub.
i don't know the tq spec off hand but if u want u can tq it all to spec but i've done brakes on SEVERAL cars and never tq them and they all are mint so. it's up to you.
enjoy.. it's a rewarding process that's for damn sure.
then everything should be good

I did this on my girlfriends civic and just ended up drilling through that pesky screw after I had stripped the shit out of it. The wheel holds the rotors on anywho.
