headlight issue, please help
ok so i just got into my cl and flipped on the lights like normal they came on.... i pull out of my parking space and the left headlight flickers and shuts off. i turn the headlights off and back on and it comes on flickers and shuts off again... i drive some more and the same thing keeps happening then finally while waiting in a drive thru i pop em on and off and it stays on.... i drive out and to test it again i turn em off and on.... it was good. i tried it a second time and it flickers and shuts off. sometimes it just flashes and shuts off..
would could have caused this? time for new bulb? bad ballast? bad relay?

HID conversion correct? I had the same problem with my integra. It turned out to be a loose connection at my ballast. I'd check all the connections and make sure they are tight and free of corrosion.

It deff the ballast. I had the same problem about a month ago. I switched bulbs but that helped for about 3 days. Then I bought a ballast from a junk yard and now i have not had a problem for the last month works perfectly. I'm sorry to tell you but you are gonna have to buy a new ballast and they are not cheap. I got lucky and found 2 ballasts 2 bulbs and 1 headlight caseing for $250 shipped from a junkyard in Texas.
I called may placed and cheapest other then the place in Texes (the guy had no clue what a ballast was) wanted like $150-$200 used from most junk yards.
Im 95% sure its the ballast I had the same problem a month ago and swaped bulbs first and that did not fix it!
GOOD LUCK!

Minw was like that also it gave me problems then it worked fine for like 6 month and then again gave me problems, then fianally would not stay on more the 3 min i would keep shutting my lights on/off while driving to get it to come one when I noticed it was off! I would start saving $ for a new ballast or start calling junk yards so u can find one cheap! It is easy to swap out the hardest part is getting your bumper off and thats fairly easy!

Hey man, i was having this same problem. Did you change your bulbs at all? I upgraded to 6000K bulbs from the factory 4300K a few months ago. Then about a month ago I started having this problem. Problem came and went and now the driver-side bulb doesn't work at all. Thought it was the ballast but it turned out to be just the bulb.
All you need to do is take the bulbs out and swap 'em to see if its just the bulb or not. Bulbs are relatively cheap depending where you get them. If you need a detailed description on taking out the bulbs then just pm me and i'll break it down for you.
If you still have the problem then its most likely your ballast. There is no need to spend $200-$400 for a OEM ballast. You can hunt around online and get an entire HID kit for around $100 and just rewire and have two brand new ballasts. Here is a great DIY to wire in a new HID kit and replace both your ballasts:

Hope this helps man.

there's a cover on the back of the headlight, remove that and you can access the bulb. Make sure the car is off, unplug the battery to be on the safe side. Sounds like your ballast is giving out. When you replace the ballast you will need to remove the bumper to get to the ballast. It is mounted on the bottom of the headlight... Hope that helps.
