Best Gas for power, etc.. Chevron, Mobil, Shell?
I've been using Shell, but I saw some info in another forum that pointed me to Chevron's web site. They claim that the "Big Three" automakers get all of their EPA requirement test gas from Chevron.
Does anyone have good/bad/horror stories about name brand gas and performance/economy/etc?

I heard Chevron is really good, but I've been using both Shell and Mobile....I prefer Mobile but it's all a matter of preference I guess. Use Chevron I guess, cuz of the Techron!(if it even does nething)

I have been using Mobil Super 93-octane for the last 10-years or so.
It ran in my Legend Coupe for 110K without a problem.

Bagged hybrid
76 for me too. I don't really use Chevron b/c that Techron stuff doesn't combust and gives worse gas mileage.

I think as long as you use a name that is well known, you should not have any problems. Exxon and Mobil are the same company, so I'm pretty sure they would use the same gas. When I had my old 80 Buick Skylark it used to die all the time. The only gas it wouldn't die on believe it or not was 76.
