T/A WS6, Turbo Cobra, G8 GT, New M3 and SuperCharged 2003 Acura CL-Type S
These are not my races but thought you guys would like to see a CL-Type S running with the big dogs... the G8 GT ran a 13.5 in the 1/4 so this should give you an idea of how fast the Acura is... I would have loved to see a V going at it with these guys but still liked the outcome of the races... The WS6 is closer in performance to the V so it gave me an idea of how I would have done... hope you guys enjoy

That Cobra's pretty damn stout to catch and destroy a 108 mph car after it finally found traction. Still, LS1 F-Bodies are such a great bang for the buck. Would've liked to see that Cobra trounce the M3!
On a side note, it's always cool to watch low torque, high horsepower cars running high torque cars; for the first couple seconds it always looks like they're done, then they start stretching their legs.
If you're a member on that forum you should tell that guy that wants to see a SC TL that SC's are old hat here, and that 400+ whp turbo TL's are all the rage!

Yeah, I've been wanting to run a 04+ turbo TL for ever... I think a SC TL would be a nice race for me but I'm sure id still take the win...
I even made a post a year or 2 ago asking someone with a SC or Turbo 04+ TL to run me but never got any takers... I think we just don't have any in my neck of the woods...

Yeah, SC 6MT TL's don't see more than 107-108 mph. There are a couple vids on youtube of Type-S09 edging out a slightly modded LS-1 up top. IIRC, he was making ~325 whp. I bet a fully bolted/cammed/tuned 6MT 3.2 could come pretty close to that.
It really is a shame that 95% of these guys doing turbos and SC's on TL's seem to have zero interest in actually focusing on traction and going to the track. I'm guessing the ~375 whp turbo cars are good for highish 12's @ ~111-113 on street tires. Slicks could get that way down, although axles could become a real problem.

Good post...I love all the vids! but a turbo Termi should be making AT LEAST 800-1000RWHP not 500 like they said. People get 550-600 to the wheels on ported stock blowers and up to 8-900 with big whipples and KBs

I can't believe that Trans Am got walked by that M3...he had to have had something done..

Why do you think that? A bone stock M3 traps 112-113 mph all day. Looks like a normal walk for a 4-5 mph higher trap speed than the T/A.

After a re-tune and some more boost I was pushing 410whp. I was putting 3-5 car lengths on srt8 chargers from 70-130. Never had a chance to go back to the track b.c i suffered a cracked ringland on the #6 piston.
In the process of re-building the motor with pauter rods and 9:1 weisco pistons. Shooting for 450ish to the wheels. With the new ecu giving me the ability to build boost off the line and a built motor, Im hoping to run very low 12's and trapping near 120mph

^ It's good to see the 5ATs holding power after putting in the correct fluids & other maintenance items.
I look forward to seeing your thread in the Racing & Competition forum!

I hit the track months ago when I was still on my first tune with about 340whp. I ran a 13.8 @ 107 with a horrible 60 of 2.7 (Im auto). At the time I was unable to build boost off the line.

Would've loved to see the looks on the faces of those SRT drivers. Keep us posted on your progress!
