Auto wipers go crazy
For the most part, the wipers work just fine. I have them on the lowest sensitivity, and they do a good job when I want them to. However, now and then, after the rain stops, they will make repeated wipes at a very fast rate. I have found that turning the sensitivity up all the way and then back to slow will solve it. Had the car a few months, and it has happened 3-4 times in the dozen or so times they have had to come on.
Tough to diagnose intermittent problems.

^^ Same here, every car or SUV I've owned with auto wipers has done this "fast" wiping on occasion for no reason..
I hate auto wipers, they never seem to work right.. I prefer good old fashion intermittent wipers..

It's rained just about every day here since the start of June (sorry California members), and for the most part during rain I have no complaints at all. What is a little bizarre is how lately the wipers seem to try to work in the morning when there's only dew or moisture on the windshield and they just keep wiping and wiping for several minutes. It's not a problem, just quirky.

Just as an FYI to add to this thread, the auto sensing did not work on my wipers (2016, built in June 2016) right off the lot (it rained that day). After a second day of rain to verify it, I took it in today. They indicated that it had "not been installed correctly" - read that to mean that the wires were not connected (I specifically asked). Several posters here have indicated that same issue.
