Lots of Heat

I've had several people tell me when standing next to my car while idling that it is giving off a lot of heat. I didnt think much of it until I went to fill my tires with air yesterday and it felt like sticking your face in an oven when you got down by the wheels. I thought it may have been the brakes, even though I wasn't doing any hard driving. So I let the car idle for a while and there was no change in temperature. It gives off a pretty solid heat wave all the way around the car and more concentration in the wheel wells. I'm at a total loss for ideas. Suggestions?

You must be talking about the heat blowing on your legs stepping out of your car.

Completely normal.

I thought it wasn't at first, I thought I had a leak after installing my jpipe, but after going in other TLs, they all do the same.

when the car is idling there is almost no air flow across the radiator that cools the car. Thus the fans kick on and push as much air as they can through the engine comparment. Any space where the air can rush out, it will, thus causing you to feel like you are near an oven.

If you are worried about the temperatures, look into the ultimate cooling mod.

I never thought twice about it until people started saying something. Probably is nothing. Gotta find friends who complain less.
