From posting in a different thread, I would like to know how to do a transmission fluid swap using the suction and return lines of the 3g transmission as 3x3 doesn't get you to the 87%> mark of old fluid removal which is effectively doing the job 3/4 of the way, dirty oil wouldnt be replaced with a quart left behind in anyones right mind. I would love some information on this idea posed. The proposed idea was to take the suction side I am putting into a clean overfilled by 1 qt of transmission fluid of your choice. Then to put the return line into an empty bucket and allow it to run to clean color out the return. If this is possible, where are the return lines? Thoughts?

I hate cars

There is no suction side. No such thing except the inlet to the pump. Everything after that is pressure.

The entire procedure is on here if you search, no need to start a new thread especially after it already being explained in the other thread.

Do a drain and refill.
Do not start the engine.
Disconnect cooler lines.
Put the pressure side in an empty bucket.
Forget about the dead side.
Start the engine and begin adding new fluid via the fill hole.
Try to match the rate the fluid is coming out.
Once it turns red shut the engine off.
Check the fluid level before reconnecting the cooler lines.
If the level is high, start the engine and run until the level is ok.
If the level is low, reconnect everything and add fluid.
Start the engine again, run it for a minute and recheck the level.

I hate cars

I just watched the video, don't ever put compressed air back into the transmission. If you want to make sure you get all of the fluid trapped in the cooler, disconnect the line AFTER the cooler. That way all of it except for a couple feet of hose get cleaned out.

If he would have disconnected the line next to the line he disconnected and stuck a metal pipe into the rubber line he would have gotten the cooler contents along with the rest of the fluid.
