Have had 3 TL's, been member since 2006 under multiple usernames, first post ever.
Oh man, what a ride its been.
In 2005 I got my first car, a 1999 nbp acura tl.
Drove it, tinted it, added multiple sound systems, and loved it until my sophomore year of college when my dad traded my car to get himself an RL and I got his 2004 nbp acura tl with the a-spec package.
I had done some pretty fun mods on the car.
• Multiple audio system mods, one of which was an 8" JL sub in a custom fabricated box that fit in between the arm rest gap in the back seat. (sorry for bad pic)
• Second audio mod I switched to a 10" JL inside a custom fabricated box that 'walled off' the rear section of the trunk. (no pics of that sadly) All these audio mods we're cool to me because I just used the wires that ran to the stock sub to my input on the amp. Giving myself 13 levels of volume for the sub ran by the stock HU. (+6 to -6 and even an off setting which almost no cars have stock)
• 15% tint all around
• custom painted grill, rear trim piece and tinted tails
• 1 inch drop all around
• debadged
Drove that for 3 years and it was my favorite car by a wide margin until I got totaled by a girl who was texting and driving. Rear ended me so bad it bent the frame to the point it was unfixable.
Sad sad day in my life haha.
This is 2011 at this point.
After I got the insurance money I picked a NBP 02 tl type s with nav (first nav i've had even though its old as balls) . It has been a great car as well, smooth ride, super comfy. Added 2 12" JL w6's, tinted it again, added 19" racing harts, aux input, debadged, Fun stuff.
Since those pics I wrapped the door handles and the outer chrome part of the grill black. That was about two months ago. Why I haven't taken any pictures of that is beyond me because something that little made a MASSIVE difference in the overall look of the car.
I am now at 175k miles on my 02 type s and I am in the market for an 04-08 TL again. I have been pre-approved for a small loan after trade in and I am actually thinking about switching it up to white after owning 3 black TL's...... dun dun dun. There are two at the dealer I am working with, one 07 black on black TL one 08 white TL with the two tone black/ tan interior. I am driving them tonight. Very excited to get back the 04-08 model. Miss that car so badly.
I'm anxious to start becoming more involved in the Acurazine community, as thus far I've only read posts, been in awe at photos of people's badass cars, and taken advice from DIY projects.
Happy Acura driving folks. Will update on which car I get. I'm anxious to get started doing mods on my new vehicle whatever I end up getting.

I just purchased my 08 WDP TL base w/ navi and black interior. I originally wanted a TLS but this one had to do. Im happy with it and all the mods that ive already piled up in my room and small mods ive already done! Its a car i will enjoy for years to come

I have an NBP 04 now and while I love it, I REALLY liked my 05 WDP. Can't go wrong with either one though. Hands down this has been my favorite car ever and I am so happy to be back in a TL.
Neither have nav. But I like the dash in the 07-08 much much more than the one in the 04. It was not the best looking dash.
Think I'm going to go with the NBP today. The interior is in much better shape, drives better, and looks cleaner. Couldn't get myself to like the white. Don't know why. Maybe if the interior had been all black w/ nav I would have gone WDP.
Will be my fourth NBP TL! So excited.

Best of luck! I like the WDP...since keeping the NBP clean is.....Do either of those cars have Nav?

Thanks for the advice gents. On my way to the dealer I was trying to force myself to go WDP but the NBP was in better shape and it was calling my name haha. I already started some mods, wrapped some things and started stereo stuff. Will post pics soon.
Hey all, figured I'd update here. Have done a few mods since I got the NBP 07 TL. I wrapped the 'silver bars' in the lower grill by the fogs in gloss black and also wrapped the outer part of the grill gloss black. Dipped the inside. Very happy with this look.
Currently typing this somberly... I have to sell my TL. I was put in a situation where I can no longer afford the payment. The only photoshoot I got to do was to showcase the car for selling. Which is ridiculously depressing and whack. I have loved every second of having this thing. I am going to be forced to get something between 3-4k since I still owe a fair amount on this after my trade in. (shit I only got to drive it for 6 months). Ugh. So stupid. If you guys knew my situation you would understand. Anyways, here's the pics. It has 129k on it and I'm going to list it for $12,995 on CL. Let me know if you are interested.
Threw it on there. I hope it goes to a good home. I wash this thing twice a week, keep it in the garage, the whole 9 yards. I only hope the next person will treat it the same.
