Frosty's Icebox of Ingenuity [WDP Build Thread]
What's up, guys?
My name is Luke and I've been on Acurazine since the beginning of last year, and it's helped me a ton with both useful information as well as new ideas. I decided to make a progress thread for my TL now that a have a decent amount of mods done to it. So here it is:
September 2011
I got my license the day I turned 16 and I drove this Honda prelude for the first few months. It was a fun little car and I miss it sometimes.
December 2011- Took Ownership
I got my 2004 WDP TL on Christmas Day 2011. And NO, my parents did not buy it for me. I actually bought it off my brother, with my OWN money I just happened to buy it from him on Christmas, that's why there's a bow.
March 2012- 1st things 1st... WHEELS
After weeks of searching, I finally found a set of the rare 18x8.5 Gunmetal Aspec wheels. I got these put on with brand new General G-MAX AS-03 tires.
May 2012- Side Skirts
Not really a mod; more of a repair. The clearcoat/paint on my side skirts was peeling for some reason. So I got some (like) new ones from a member here on Azine.
July 2012- Sound System, Dynamat
I got a pretty awesome sound system put in. I attempted to do it all myself, and got pretty far, but ended up having a reputable shop in my area finish it up. Overall, I'm really happy with it, but it was one of the biggest headaches of my life (researching everything, tearing the car apart, etc.) I'm glad it's finished, lol. Also, I dynamatted the entire car myself.
Includes: JL 10w3v3 sub, Pioneer TS-D1720c components, Alpine MRP-M500 mono amp, Alpine MRP-F300 4-channel amp (bridged), Rockford Fosgate 3-Sixty Line Driver
August 2012- Black Grill, Window Tint
I plastidipped the grill. I may have went a little overboard taping everything off, haha. Windows were tinted 35% all the way around.
Random Shots
More to Come!
I love my car, and it's definitely a work in progress. I actually just made an appointment today to get the next thing done to it, but I'll let it be a surprise
So what do you guys think? Any suggestions?

Thanks, it wasn't easy finding them. I was really close to just getting regular a-specs.

Thank you sir
I really don't think so either. If it is, I was/am completely unaware, haha.
Hmmm... You might be right. I never noticed.
This is news to me, lol.
My brother did it before I bought the car. I believe he hooked it up to the XM jack on the headunit with some sort of module. The brand was DICE. Sorry, that's about all i know regarding that. It works great though!

Yep!
I have an appointment set for next Monday to get it wrapped with vinyl at a local shop. I went and looked at the vinyl they'll be using after I made the appointment, and it didn't really look that glossy to me. But they said it was like the best vinyl you can get. (3M brand)
Are there different kinds of 3M glossy black vinyl? And is your roof painted or vinyl?
I can always cancel and set up an appointment to get it painted, but I think it would cost a lot more, and obviously it wouldn't be as easily reversible. The shop is doing the vinyl for $199 (supplies and labor).

Well, I'm 17 now (18 in September) but I was 16 when I got it. Thanks a lot!
Thanks man!

Thanks, I'll try! haha
Ok cool, I'm gonna get the vinyl too. I got a quote on paint today and it would've been like $575. As long as its 3M it should be fine. They're giving me a 5 year warranty also.
Thank you!
