Black window trim

Hey guys , just figured I'd share a picture of my blacked out window trim incase anyone was interested in doing it. The window trim and chrome strips going down the roofline took me about 4 hours in total and cost about $30.00 ..not too bad..I also did my little brothers TSX

That's a good price for that mod. Looks really good on your brothers TSX. Blends with the black paint really well. Great job!

Pinot, blacked out window trim does make a nice difference for a small price.

I'm sure someone has done it on bwp or wdp. It'll be a nice contrast.

I love my black window trim, and as mentioned it is not expensive. As for the roof trim, i am holding out on making it black..i have my heart set on painting it out to match the pearl white.

Looks really nice, have been wanting to do this to my black TL. Where did you buy it from and how much did you buy for the windows and the roof line (length x width)? Also how was doing the part right behind the rear doors? It seems a bit tricky.

i was looking at buying it from these guys and still trying to figure out to buy matte or gloss Shadowline Matte & Gloss Black Window Trim & Roof Vinyls

looks great OP!

your brothers TSX would look clean as hell if you did the doorhandles too

I did my chrome lines on the roof, but wasn't willing to do the window trim since it is a lot of weatherstripping you're cutting against, and I was worried I would mess up. I was using an xacto blade and was very hungover, not a good combination.

maybe I should give it a shot next spring!

That's where I ordered From..
I used one roll of 3x30 per car ..you can actually cut it into halves ( 1.5)

As for the rounded piece by the rear door ..I had a roll of 5 x 30 that I ordered for my brothers door pillars, so that covered it perfectly ..if you decide to do gloss PM me your address and I'll send you a little of the 5width so you don't have to order an entire roll

Thanks for the compliments guys !

Good Job, is it gloss vinyl? You made out good though, I think I spent about $80 on materials just for my car.

So after some shipping delays/backorder problems i got the stuff yesterday and installed it on the windows (didnt have time to do the roof) there is a definite learning curve with this stuff. the second side i did looks better and took about 1/2 as long. There are some bubbles and folds you can only really see up close but overall looks good. I would be happy to answer any questions you all have about it, and big thanks to PinotGrigio for giving me some extra tape for the extremely tricky back piece.
