1st ever 4G TL w/US pwr folding mirrors and switchback LEDs....
This project has been in the works for the past month, got the mirrors, mirror switch only avail from Japan for 100 bux!! Made my own custom wiring harness as for that's what I do for a living... NASCAR, Indy cars and formula e. Well I finally finished over the wknd. I must say I'm more than pleased having added the white DRL w amber switch back LEDs but while adding the cdm power folding mirrors I really just couldn't get used to the FAT SUV mirrors. So I studied the US mirrors, modified them and voila. I now have US version power folding mirrors. I know I'll get beat up for this but I won't be doing a DIY, ntm trying to get this done I didn't have the desire or time to do a step by step w photos for everything.

Please do an FYI for the power folding feature, I have been wanting this for a long time since I frequently park uptown
any chance you could post some additional photos of what the mirrors look from a distance with the white LEDs engaged? At first I scoffed at the idea, but im curious

I'll modify anyone's mirrors that want it done. Just ship me the parts, need the CDM, and US mirrors. Price would include shipping to and from, fees etc. Odds are I can have em done same day I get em and ship back out same day or next. I wouldn't think very many people will be doing this.
I'm not doing the wiring tho (may consider for additional fee but I dunno yet), you will also need the switch ordered from Japan off eBay for about 95 bux shipped (I can hook up w the info if u decide to do this). Took less than 2 weeks to get once I ordered. Seller is prompt but communication is pure garbage.

My buddy did my US mirrors 10 months ago, so you are not the 1st.
He also didn't need Cnd mirrors and used the factory mirror toggle switch to fold them. He's a wiz.

nice work. i always pondered if the motor guts could be fit into the US mirror housings and function.
nice to see that it is a reality. If you ever get time to take pics of someone's that are sent it for your modifying would be interesting to see how it all fits together.
