Yes the brackets will fit but the wiring connectors may not be the same.

For example, the 02 TL Type S seats do not have the same connector as the 03 TL Type S seats. I know this, annoyingly, from personal experience

Just repin your existing connector to the new seat. All you need to do is figure out what wires do what.

^ Yeah that proved to be a waste of time for me. You can take the entire seat apart and swap the cushions instead. It took me about 3 hours to swap both seats. That included taking a break for food and beer.

I just got done installed some TL/CL ( not sure how to tell different between the 2 if any) type-S seat. I also did what 03tLsNBP did some what. I just swap out base of the seat frame b/c the ones i got was very rust dirty compare to mine. Yes the wiring is very different. Since i have 99 i took out all extra wiring an SRS side air bag out. I use main connect for car to seat to hook every back together. The passenger side was very easy with everything connect. For the Driver Seat i had 1 female connect left did not fit anything. Only problem i have now is my driver will not go up an down for height adjustment. ( no biggie)

I love the way Type-S seat hug your body compare to "P".
Any real different in rear Type-S seat an can CL rear seat fit TL? I like way CL rear has divider (maybe my next mod )

so bump. i never did do this because i didnt want to re-pin anything, however, since the 99-01 TL's are the same and so are the CL's, im wondering if the 01 CL seats would need re-pinning, anyone know?

Just take the time to repin them. Its VERY easy. Ill post the pinouts later if you want.

I copied all years so Depending on your year car and the year of seats you have you will have to match up to the correct year harness.

Is there a possibility of adding the memory function to 99-01? Would it require only seats and door panel? I really hate when the wife or anyone for that matter changes my seat. And please don't say keep her out of the TL, I already try lol.

if you switched out the door panel, you would have to switch out all of your switches, including the lock switch that has the memory function on it, because its longer than the 99-01 version.

so fsttyms1, these are all TL model years or the same for CL model years as well?

edit: i have a 2000 and a TL im looking at is an 03, which ones would i be looking at?

There is MUCH more to it than that. There is a control unit for it AND its also part of the ECU.

first and 2nd one and last one.

Do you guys know if there is a difference between the CL-P and CL-S seats?

Like would the S have bigger bolstering?
After googling and looking at pictures I cant really see the difference.

Hey guys!

So I ended up doing this swap and everything works great (Power, recline, memory, airbags hopefully) But for some reason I am not getting heat on the drivers side back and I have the Seat Belt Light on. Any indication as to why?

I would really like to get the heat working on the back moreso than anything really.
It was an 03 CL seat into an 03 TL.
