Larger injector help for turbo

So I was told to buy the Injector Dynamics 1000.48.11.F20.6 which are for the 01-03 TL but they do not fit into my P2R fuel rails. The injector is a bit smaller than the opening in the fuel rail.

Im in a tight time crunch to get either the right injectors or the right adapters to make these fit. Car is getting tuned June 1-3 so if anyone has any help they can give in the next day I would be greatly appreciative.

Ive heard things about having to use the Scion clips to make injectors work etc but I have no experience with replacing the injectors in our cars until now.

Car is a 07 TL-S 6MT. I would love to use my ID1000's however will do whatever it takes to get the right setup.

Thanks!

We had to get different o rings for our OBX fuel rails but they had smaller holes, have you tried to take a o ring off of the stock injector and use it on the rail side of the new injector

I have not tried this as of yet Is that a safe way to mount them inside the fuel rail? Will this cause any issues? Thanks for the idea, i will take a look at this when I get home!

You need 14mm on both ends.

An o-ring change is possible but the body is slightly different between the 48-11's and the 48's

ID1000 Injectors - Injector Dynamics

With regard to the plugs, I had to use the scion plugs on the RDX injectors, not sure about these but the universal kits come with either pigtails or unassembled plugs.

So you would not recommend an O-ring change though?

And with plugs, they do come with new clips that you have to repin and wire up so I should be good to do there.

Which one on that ID website would you recommend I buy for a proper fitment? Looks like I may have to call up ID and see if they can make a custom order for 6 of them, rather than the sets of 4.

I got the same set originally and I think I tried taking the o-ring from the RDX injector and decided to get the others instead but I also wasn't under a time crunch. Give that a shot first.

You may not need to rewire, just push out the weather-pack connection out of the stock plug and it may just click into the new plug. That's how it worked with the scion plugs.

I just went out and tried the ones I have. Fit perfectly. The plugs are different compared to the scion plugs.

Thanks for checking on that for me!

Are those injectors that you plan on using for your TL as well? If they are a direct fit, im just going to order those rather than trying to use O rings etc. It says that they are for a 350z, porsche 996 or a e46 m3 which would make sense that they would fit our J35 as well.

I did the same exact thing you did. Just needed to switch the o rings to 14mm for the p2r rail and it worked great!

I bought this listed as a universal kit and I am using this with my build.

Didn't think of it yesterday but I will snap a picture of the injector. The drawings show a collar on the 14/14 that I think fit better than the 14/11's. But I am just being picky.

I see part number 1000.48.11.F20.6 being a direct fitment for the second generation TL, so I can't confirm it'll work with the 3G. I'd stick with the 48.14.14.6 if KN_TL is right and they plugged right in. It's very likely Injector Dynamics just never verified fitment of that part number on the 3G.

thanks for everyones help and input. I think that I have figured out my dilemma. flexxer has the same fuel rail and injectors as i do. The Bosch EV 14 injectors use the same casing as the ID's do. On ebay there is an o-ring kit that you can purchase for them which is what I did. I got a set for a V8 so i have a couple extra just incase.

He is using the same o-rings on the same parts that I have and he said everything is working flawless. Cant share my results yet as the car isnt running, but Im sure it should be good to go at this point.

thanks again everyone for the quick info!
