2008 TLS future setup

Hello guys. I'm new to this forum. I own a 2008 Acura TL Type S. I've owned the car for 2 years now. Bought it with 47000 miles and now it has 60000. I am planning to do a few mods on it. I already installed k & n INTAKE a year ago and installed a xlr8 brake engine damper to help smooth the shifts. My car is a 6 speed. I am planning to a do the timing belt and water pump soon. Already bought the parts along with a unorthodoxracing pulley stock diameter. Thinking about getting a xlr8 resonated exhaust and maybe a J-pipe. Been reading a lot on it and it seems the j pipe with cat delete will not make the car too loud and will give me a great power boost. I want the car to sound meaner but not too loud where I can't take my mother for a ride if you know what I mean. Simple mods. What you think of this possible set up.

Get some camshafts while you are doing timing belt. Bisi stage 2 and flashpro will put a smile on your face

Thanks but I wanna keep it simple. This is still my daily driver. Now this is the exhaust I want.
XLR8 Exhaust Systems - Excelerate Performance - Japanese and European Performance Specialists!!
Its a catback so does that mean it already has a J pipe? Or do you buy the J pipe and have spare parts from this exhaust. Kinda of confused?

This doesn't include the J-pipe but it's defiantly worth getting. The XLR8 exhaust systems are nice!

Have fun doing the timing belt,it's not bad, takes about a day. Make sure you replace spark plugs or at least check to make sure they haven't loosened up on you.

Thank you. Yeah I bought new spark plugs any way. Waiting for the next oil change and I will do everything.
Timing belt and water pump
URacing stock diameter pulley
New NGK laser Iridium spark plugs
Oil change
New cabin air filter
Trans flush
All will be done very soon. I had new brakes and tires installed a year ago so after this I will have no worries for awhile. I will look into a XLR8 exhaust and j pipe down the road when I pay off my credit card Thanks again

Why are you doing the timing belt at 60k?

Is it not 60k or 7 years where one should do the timing belt. I hear time is much more important.

Also do the brake fluid. every 3 years.

Catback = from the catalytic converter back (away from engine), which in this case means from the 3rd cat back, so does not include j pipe.

Our B4 indicator (timing belt) is ~105k miles, not 60k. There is no specified time indicator. Time may have been more of an issue in the past, but current belts are Kevlar or Nitrile reinforced and they tend to wear more from actual use and engine heat. They're well sheltered from elements behind the timing cover. I personally wouldn't worry about it at 60k. If you're doing the work yourself, and don't mind spending the time, it's all good. Timing belt and water pump don't cost that much.

As 6spd-GERCO said, our J-Pipe and exhaust are sold separately! A J-Pipe is definitely the way to go if you don't want your car too loud for family trips and daily driving. You'll also pick up that great power band from it as well.

Sounds good. I'll be getting a pipe and exhaust soon.
So I even with my car being a 2008 with the original belt and water pump at 60k miles, I should not worry about it. I was always told when it hits a certain mileage or 7 years, whichever first.
Its cool. I like doing everything at the same time. So I guess I'll get the exhaust down the road and do everything at the same time. Be like getting a new car.

Hello again guys. Had a lot of work done to my tl.
Spark plugs, timing belt and water pump. Underground stock diameter pulley. XLR8 SS brake lines. XLR8 J pipe. Clutch slave cylinder removal. All work was done at 62k and car now had 64k. New front bushings. I can say I am very happy with the car. Much nicer to drive. With slave cylinder removed and red line trans fluid. Car shift/clutch feel has transformed. Down the road I may get a full XLR8 exhaust when I catch up on my bills. Only things I have not touched is the clutch and the suspension. For now I'm very happy with my car and hope to keep it for a long time.

you could have it even feeling better with GM friction modified fluid (better than redline trans fluid), SS clutch line, short shifter, and shifter bushings

glad to see you took care of maintenance along with improvements!

My car is a A-spec? I never knew. As for the the bumper guards and the wood trim. All that was on the car I purchased it. I never removed them and they grew on me. You should had seen the car when I bought it. The whole dash was covered in velcro. The former owner of the car was a cop and said velcro was safe so things would not move. Was a nightmare to clean. The silver trim by the dash could never get clean and rather then spend stupid money for them $350 online. I bought a roll of carbon fiber tape for 8 bucks. I think it came out well and everyone who rides with me thinks its OEM.

well, he said it grew on him...doesn't mean he likes it.
That could just mean he doesn't wanna deal with the glue residue everywhere.

Thank you. Moroccan red was the exact color I wanted and a 6 speed low mileage. Drove 2.5 Hours to get it.This is my daily driver. I own two Acuras. On nice sunny days when I'm off. I drive a 1998 Acura NSX.

Nice! More pics of the NSX? What all have you done to it?

I'm sure you could remove the bumper trim things with a heat source and some goo gone. Probably the same for the wood trim pieces. That is, if you want to.

Ehhh in under the assumption that Maryland has some pretty shitty drivers and parking lots so at least the bumpers provide functionality. The wood trim not so much.

Also on the NSX.
