so i was takeing my sister to classes this morning at york collage and i try to avoid hitting one pot hole and end up hitting an next one and well.......Just wanted to give a big thanks to the New York City Department of Transportation....or..WHOEVER THE HELL IS RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR FUCKED UP VAN WYCK EXPRESSWAY......THANKs ALOT.....

Isn't NYDOT one of the few state DOT's that will let you make a claim against them for damages incurred by shitty roadwork?
Maybe that's changed, but I've seen the forms to make a claim . . . it's not an insurance claim, it's just some form you fill out on their website and send in or something. May not do any good, but I at least get a good kick out of sending an angry letter to vent my rotors.

Call 311 - they'll send you a form or give you a phone # where you can call to get a form. You'll need to fill our the form and send them pictures of the damage, of the scene and receipt for the things you had to replace.

man this is nyc.....to try and make a clam to the NYDOT. for mess up road way for fucking up rims.....is like trying to get wit that one hot chick u know u not going get ,,,lol

Yo you have to drive on the LEFT lane on both directions, especially while you're driving along the AirTrain section of the Van Wyck.
The left lanes both barely have any potholes. The middle and right lanes are sick, with huge potholes about 1-3 feet in length at times.
If you stay on the left lane you should avoid most of the potholes.
