Roof Overlay Brooklyn

My cousin and I want to get roof overlays on our cars (I have an 07 TL-S, he has a 2005 Accord Sedan). I called around the shops I know (212, brighton collision, guarantee alarm) as well as a whole bunch of other auto shops and cant find anyone in Brooklyn who will do a roof overlay! So far I found only one place, that a fellow forum member referred me to, but its in LI and the guy wanted us to drop the cars off for 2 days...which is too long to be without cars..

So - any shops // any people in Brooklyn who can apply roof overlays on 2 cars?

I also want to get my headlight reflectors (the yellow part) and the reviewer mirror blinkers tinted.

There are 2 more people in NYC who want it done - they posted in this thread https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...7#post10932217

I found this DIY last night, its for a G35 but should be similar enough : http://auto.badtziscool.com/how-tos/...-roof-overlay/

This makes me think we can do this ourselves...Just set aside 5-6 hrs and meet up and attack this project.

G35 has a no sunroof option??? wow never knew that...

but i am sure that with the sunroof it should be easier because there is less of a seam to have to match... XM antenna may be a pain though...

FYI this thread was started before you gave me the numbers for the other people who have been looking hard for someone to do it for them or to get together and do it ourselves.

I will post an update with the person who does it for me and feedback on their work after I get this done. (hopefully within the next few weeks) if anyone want a phone number to a person in Whitestone prior to me getting the overlay done, PM me for it

Got it done earlier in the summer, just forgot to post the pics.

I bought the overlay from a seller in the blackmarket, who was selling left over vinyl - but I'm sure bluebatmobile has quality overlays.
The guy who did it for me is in Whitestone. His name is Gerald and his phone # is 718-888-0392. You can tell him Eugene with the Acura TL sent you, and he'll hook you up with a good price.
Without further ado, here are the iPhone pics (and if anyone wants me to take pics at a specific angle, feel free to ask)

Really nice and clean. I messed up on cutting mine around the XM antenna when I was doing it, therefore looking to redo it professionally or by some1 wit experience. How much did he charge u? And were u around Queens Blvd yesterday around 3:00? I believe I saw your car. And very nice tail lights, I got the same thing :-)

He charged me $120 for labor, plus I helped him a little bit.
I wasn't in Queens yesterday. My car is parked by my work in Brooklyn 9-5. There's another member on here, he has the same tails, although he doesn't have a roof overlay.

Problem with paint, its more permanent. If I change my mind or want to sell the car and go back to ASM, I can easily do it by removing the overlay, whereas if it was painted, that would be hard to do, unfortunately not everyone gets the black roof idea.

^^^^...

True, The only reason i didnt go with the black overlayer is because couple of people told me, if i leave the overlayer on for a while and i take it off, it would affect my paint on my roof, so i didnt wanna take the risk and if i do sell my car, the dealer will take it like that or sell it to a teenager that would be excited to buy a car that is "hooked up"
