NY plate question

So my TL will be paid off soon and its under my fathers name, am planning to change it to my name once its paid off. My question is will I have to change to those new fugly plates or can I keep the current liberty whtie one? Thanks in advance guys

BAH! I wonder if I can keep the old white plates as a souvenir....lol

My friend just did the same thing with his car and he had to get new plates. He also kept the old plates.

custom plates...either hopefully your car is blue lol..my car is dark emerald pearl (honda's green) and I know they would look absolutely HORRIFIC on my car so I'm regretting that day :'(
