The wife spotted a NBP tl with chromes wheels and some kind of aftermarket exhaust with NJ tags rolling through VA on I 66. Rolled up on our NBP type S. Anybody here?

since this thread is dead anyway, here is what I did today as posted on my photo page:

well, the snow finally started going...and going strong still. I was looking all day for an excuse to go out and play and my chance has finally come.

I watched a cop car try to push a BMW 328i through an intersection and fail, video below:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PeETCNPX8SA

and I decided this is the excuse I was looking for to go play with my new snow shoes (Conti DWS)

Here is what it looked like:

being really bored, I figured I'll just push em out.

When I went outside, my car had at least 6" of snow on it and the gloves locked in the trunk. Using a box from a power strip I pushed the snow off.

After all the windows were cleared I simply drove out :insert big grin here:

Then I backed up and drove up behind em, offered some help and stuck a carpet on his trunk to protect the bumper.

Too bad for me, all the pushing was making my car go under his...I am a bit too low to the ground to be seriously pushing anything I guess.

Long story short I went around the other way and pushed em backwards with my bare hands, the end.

Oh yeah...after he was gone I just drove back into the pile of snow that was my parking spot.

Conti DWS, thumbs up for light and deep snow traction!

did anyone else go outside today? there are cars abandoned like a Tiburon in middle of 10th ave and 30th st, trucks stuck everywhere...

RL pretty much plowed through everything and this is on all season tires too.

Come on people, let's see some photos and hear some stories, unless you're stuck like Lex or Randy

I wonder if Blazing is stuck like last winter...lol

at 12 o'clock we decided to go to my friends girlfriends house.. we make the 45 min drive successfully
here is how it started (this is all in her driveway)

then after trying to get to the top of her drive the car slides back down and gets stuck

we tried to get the car out but couldn't so we decieded to try again this morning and our friend came over to help

after a little while of trying the audi finally gets stuck so my friend with a truck came

and this is what the the very bottom of the car looks like

I went by my girlfriends house saturday morning. Hanged out all day and when I was ready to leave I couldnt believe what I saw outside on her block.

I said OH SHIT mad snow. It already got so high and I was stuck!

I just got home this afternoon because no plows. Anyone knows where jamelia lives that block is reallly vacant. It was a stressful 3 days haha

Everyone on my block shoveled there sidewalk snow onto the street so we have 4-5 feet piles of snow in the middle of the street. Not one car has been able to pass from my house to the corner. The Fit crawled out of my yard without us having to shovel much. Thing is a beast in the snow. Once we reached the street we said yea screw this back into the garage it went lol.

I drove it on sunday as the snow started falling - it did well. I parked it on avenue y and didn't move it till this morning. Surprisingly got out of the spot just fine.
My mom has a 2008 Mdx which has the same SH-AWD and similar height and my dad bottomed it out on snow and had to dig it out a few times.

Luckily my boss has a range rover so he picked me up and dropped me off for work.

When I looked out the window on Monday morning and went to dig the ZDX out, avenue y looked like a scene out of "I am legend". Abandoned cars in the middle of the street, a bus stuck on east 13 facing the wrong way, no people.

There's still an Audi a4 standing in the middle of avenue y and east 17 and a vw gti in the left lane of ocean ave.

wow, sounds like Brooklyn is priority # last. Manhattan is all dug out. Just one car in middle of 10th ave and that was on Monday.

are you under impression than an SUV holds the road better? the only advantage is height, everything else is actually a handling disadvantage.

let me guess your RL can go over 4-6 inches of snow while SUV can go way higher then that without having problems

To follow on my previous post - the ZDX handled snow like a champ.

On 2 occasions I helped push someone out while the ZDX went through with no problems.

Parking is a bitch though. I spent 50 minutes looking for parking by my building yesterday, when it usually takes about 10-15.
