Let me just get this out of my system...

I am putting LEDs in my dad's vette and it is such a PITA! These old cars are so hard to mod OMFG! if one thing is not right then it doesn't work! Ughhhhhhhh.

I tried putting a damn turn signal bulb in the damn thing and it wouldn't even work. Then I tried putting the stock bulb back in and that wouldn't even work right! Such a PITA! Now I have to figure out something to get that damn thing to work! Ughhhhhh I have to go home after I get out of work and think about that shit because it NEEDS to work.

Its a PITA.

I can only imagine what it is going to be like if I ever decide to tackle the HID install mission.

That Max just has a drop, debadge, and wheels it looks like, right?

I still think RedAccord_02 (Larry) on 6GA/V6 P has the best example of OEM+

The Max has tint too.

IMO, tint does change the look of a car.

There are some cars though that can rock the tintless look though.

I think Hella makes a fixed headlight kit for the C4's (switches headlights from flip up to fixed), I know for sure they make a kit for the C5's. But yeah the lamps in the C4's are sealed beam headlights so it might be tough. But what WOULD look sick, would be to put some 6k HID's in the fogs in the front bumper, becasue you can have those on without the headlights.

I loathe flip up headlights.........

Every time I drive Lindsay's Jetta I want to get a 6MT Jetta TDI Cup Street edition... those things look sick as fuck and Jettas are comfy as hell inside and ride real nice.

But then I remember I already have a car, lol

Believe it or not, the 84 you can't run just the fogs and the parking lights. You have to have the headlights on to run the fogs. That feature was on the 85+

I went on the corvette forum and they are NO help at all.

I read that there is a wire conversion kit so that you can run the kit to that harness and then that harness goes into the factory harness.

It is def a mission and would probably take me ALL day to do.

Its slow as helllllllllll today at work.

I'm about to leave and tackle the vette for real for real.

I will get that ish to work. I think that I am going to have to sand something down on the socket.

Better to source another socket from the junkyard before messing up something original.

I'll be good.

I had to do it a couple times before to get LEDs to fit. If I mess something up then I'll have to have a socket shipped before 5 today.

His signature is a good example of the car forum phenomenon of old people listing all weather floor mats and splash guards as "mods"

lol this is very true.

every post is something like, 'nice car brother' or 'I like what you did there'

then he posts a link to the acura mega meet.

I think he's posted pics of his car before tho so its probably a person.
