when I asked the question, I was seriously considering CR-Z and Genesis Coupe. I haven't test driven any of them yet so KIA Koupe is also on the short list.

Considering the prices, I am also considering a Sonata.

I dont agree with KIA being a POS. They're essentially the same cars as Hyundais - and Hyundai has been improving their quality by alot.

up to a couple years back I would agree with them but starting in 06 Hyundai's made some real progress.

I am amazed that I would consider a Korean car brand before an American one.

if I had money to burn and bought a Benz it'd be the S550 awd.

I hope that thing is used as the residual values are: 3 years = 38%, 5 years 25%. So you pay 100k in 2010 and it's worth 38k in 2013 and 25k in 2015. Ouch

specs are almost as crazy as the price. Not my cup of tea and wouldn't want it with less than 40k off the msrp. Used can be had for half 1 or 2 years old.

Then again, I've never had that much money to burn, maybe I'd rather go new.
