looking for recommendations for a welder. need someone to weld to new mufflers on a exhaust system. preferably in the long island area.

some of these local shops that Ive called want like 200$ just to cut off the old mufflers and re-weld new ones with 2 new hangers. that price seems like twice what i should be paying

am i being cheap here? should welding 2 mufflers and making 2 new hangers cost more then 100$ ??

 

Yea... Shops these days are charging $40 just for a cut here in Jerome Ave in the bronx... I remember paying 40 for a cut and install... shit i remember paying 150 for a whole exhaust near shea stadium back in the days lol... I paid 120 just to add the quad tips to the car 2 years ago.... and that was cheap..
