Haha Dave, since you weren't there I will indulge you.
Well, as you know, the HIDs that you helped me put in are two different colors. One yellow (although not the yellow that I really want) and the other more of a washed out yellow/white.
So I tell them this and they were extremely prompt about getting me a new set of bulbs sent out right away. I believe they actually overnighted them. Anyway, I was so busy with the new job and everything that I just got the opportunity to throw them in this past Saturday. We hook it up. I turn the lights on. BAM. HELLA BLUE. Like... 10,000k-12,000k blue, lol. Ask the guys that were at the meet yesterday. It was pretty intense. Anyway, I was pretty pissed off that they got me twice in a row, so I emailed them that I need a new set asap or my money back. (Mind you they never asked me to return any of these bulbs, so I am starting a collection in my trunk). Their response was that they have definitely been sending me 3,000k HIDs and that the ballast must be defaulted, but they are going to send me another set and then if it still isn't working it has to be the ballast. Now, I don't understand that response. OK I could understand the ballast playing a part if the color was just a little bit discolored, as it currently is with the yellow fogs that I have in now. However, there is no way that that would be the explaination for why the supposed 3,000k yellow bulbs are appearing to be 10,000k hyper blue.
Anyway. I am expecting the HIDs today or tomorrow and I will keep you updated. Going to Florida Friday, so chances are I may not have the time to put them in before hand.
Anyway, I had a great time last night (as always). Keep spreading the word everyone so that this meet can keep growing!

Lmfao. The only impact a ballast should have is making the color closer to white if they are 55W instead of 35W.
I'll be done with school may 3rd, I can put them in then for you. I actually want the yellow fogs now, I think I'm gonna get PIAA bulbs though, idk

I forget if you have HIDEXTRA lights....but my HIDEXTRA 3k bulbs have a yellow wire where the bulb is. (dont know what the exact wire is called) but the wire on the bulb yellow, my 8K from them has a blue wire. Check the wire!!!

Arghhhh im so upset with HIDEXTRA... There ballast are the worst ive never had an issue with Hid ballasts, their ballasts makes my hid bulb do a weird wooble! I know crazyy! like my light output acts like a neon or fluorescent bulb with that wobble wobble

My car is pretty high right now. I actually just got the camber kit, and I am going to have it lowered more once it is installed.
Regarding the wheels -- I have them but I don't. They are on a boat somewhere. Lol.
Also -- can't make it tonight (obviously, I'm not there). Ed and I just got back from Florida today and I am exhausted.

quick question, this is far in advance i know, but does the menlo meet happen after memorial day, or do you guys think you will meet after memorial day?
Ill be home on vacation and im debating spending an extra night in town and swinging by the menlo meet before i head back up to school
