Met with one of the members last week who told me about this meetup, planning to swing by tomorrow night. Just an '04 from original owner beginning of the month and trying to see what others have done/figure out where to sink my $$ first.

The meet isn't actually at menlo it was until we kept on getting kicked out so it has been moved to the Target parking lot across the street from Nordstoms and Cheesecake Factory the meet starts at 8

Alright nice, saw it in the background of some pics anyway, and need to hit a Target tomorrow anyway so all's good. Might be a bit cooler but as long as we won't be standing outside in this wind tomorrow I'll see you all at 8.

BTW - I won't have any pro photo equipment with me tomorrow, but I come from a pro photo family, (family's got a couple specialty shops) so I'm happy to help any of you guys get the images you might be having a hard time with. Always happy to barter photo help for car help!

I'm gonna have to take a reign check for tomorrow; a fucking Costco shopping cart hit my car and fucked my driver door up anyone have past experience with these type of situations? Can I persue a claim against Costco, will they take responsibility? I think I might need a new door skin. Bruce can you give me a price for a 09 TL left front (drivers) door skin. Thanks.

^ doesn't your insurance cover that you can always argue hit and run and since its and 09 I would think you would have full coverage good luck

Damn that sucks, how bad is the damage? If paint didn't chip off, you can most likely get a PDR to pop the dent out. Usually cost anywhere from 80-150 a panel.

Ok, 6 million or free and a nice shield on MY windshield . BTW I was moving around some stuff and smashed the windshield....

Hate to say this but they can pull something like well it may have gotten lose, or you didn't park right or something...youll never win and lawyers would cost more then the door itself.

Shit if you had an 04-08 I have about 3 sets of doors I could have given you one for $200 . If anyone needs a black or silver door, I got it...Best price and its yours...


To me its not worth claiming something thats under 1k..hit and run maybe but I would laugh to be honest if I was on the other line claiming a hit and run shopping cart...SUE CASPER....lol

BTW, in order to get it done, hopefully correct, did you file a police report? My dads truck was hit by someone in a lowes parking lot and to release the cameras they needed a police report and it ended up being more of a hassle and suing a conglomerate or a person for that matter you never win without hard evidence...(cop being present)....ABP(sorry im bad at names and forgot yours)..this is where you come in and you were in the car with him!!

I do have full coverage (500 deductible)but I try not to make claims regardless of fault because ultimately it reflects poorly on the driver if they're prone to accidents. Gary I posted pictures in the thread I made of the damage; the paint did break. I'm just trying to asses now if I should take care of this out of pocket or what..

Bruce the funny thing about this is I never park in the designated parking areas because I don't want other people around my car. I usually park around the building fire hydrant which the tire center guys joke is my "reserved spot". Being that the Costco parking lot was practically empty last night I said what the hell, I'll just park far away from everyone else under a light post...

i actually just turned 19 in jersey, 22 in PA, and 25 in NY though i don't carry the NY one on me anymore, and i rarely get carded, because obviously i look easily of age. i actually don't drink anymore, i quit last may. i also won't be around tonight. im at 29300 miles and im only allowed 30K till technically next march, but i'll be trading in by the summer at the latest, so trying to go over as little as possible
