I have never been to menlo park mall....just wondering if at the top of the parking garage can you see the lights from the city? I want to do a photoshoot with city lights in the backround but I rarely find places like that. I have a cannon rebel EOS XS....never really learned how to use it so if someone can give me some techniques I would appreciate it!

I'm so down for that! but yea def no chance of seeing the skyline from there.
All these talks of photoshoots makes me not even wanna put my car in to winter mode (raise the car 2 inches and put on my snow tires). I was supposed to do it last weekend

hope so!
Same location as usual, either the 3rd level corner opposite from the movie theater, or the level right under that part in the corner. As long as we are away from all the other people we should be fine. I just hope that its not super busy since xmas is right around the corner.

If your planning on shooting at night, I would invest in a decent tripod first. Sometimes your going to be shooting anywhere from 1 secs to 30 sec exposure. A tripod will help the image from becoming blurry from hand shaking. Shooting in M is easy once you get the hang of it.

hey guys, just a suggestion, Bergen County has the blue laws, and malls are closed on sunday. Garden State Plaza has huge open areas where we can be. i dont think security is even in the lots on sundays. i think that'd be a good place to meet, and we can even probably be fairly loud without a problem. i dunno if anythings changed, but this is actually where i spent quite a few hours with my dad learning how to drive when i was 15

ook. and bergen mall? where century 21 is? all these malls are closed so yea lol. edgewater movie theater has a security guy, but i mean, i've even drifted around the lot, i dont think we'd be bothered there. we can go closer to hoboken for better shots with the skyline

Actually in bergen a good place is the ikea which is in paramus. The garage up top is perfect for some photoshoots and a nice place to chill and talk. I have been to a few meets there at night and on sundays and never had any problems.
