Members beware

For those who have 19 inch wheels be careful, to 4G in a span of 1 weeks had their rims stolen in my neighborhood. Just putting this out there for the members to not leave your cars with 19's in the street cause they are stealing these like crazy.

I'm in the Norwood area around Montefiore hospital, I remember a few months ago I visited curry Acura and a salesmen told me they got their 19's stolen out of the lot at night from some TL and some 20'S from some MDX and ZDX.

That's a pretty ballsy move. Don't dealerships have at least a security guard patrolling the lot at night?

I've been to curry Acura after hours and looked around and no security at all, I guess they cheap out and don't pay security.

Long story short but back in 2005 is when I bought my TL new. I came from an 04 STI and I went to a dealership to look at them as I was only 19 and couldn't really afford the car (as I buy things myself). Guy comes over to me and just flat out asks me if I wanted to test drive the car (as everyone else all huttle around a desk) and asks for my license so I give it to him. Two minutes later Me and my two buddies started to get questioned by cops that came, my one buddy was in cuffs and I was pissed. Turns out a week before they got robbed out of over 100k in two cars and headlights. not only did they get robbed of headlights, but the theirs stole two cars. Literally pried over the hoods/fenders and removed headlights off of almost 30 cars and the service manager jumped the gun and called the cops on us because we were young and "the car matched the description". Get this though, we came in a 04 STI with about 30k of work into it and the service manager of a dealership mixed it up with a toyota Camry....So yeah not all dealerships are locked up and always get robbed....and thats how I got my TL and yes I did get a huge discount because of this. Could I have sued and got 5 tl's for free? Yes. I don't do that so i settled on a really good discount and walked away with my brand new 2005. btw the manager didn't even fully apologize as he said "thieves come back to the scene all the time", but thats when I said "yeah, sure, to give you my license no issues and come back a week later to buy a car from you".
