HELP! Concerned about Coilovers

i recently bought a set of Tein SS from a member who said that they wanted out of these because they didnt go low enough. I got them in the box of his new Meaghan Coils so i dont doubt that since the meghans can be slammed. I never owned a set of these so im not too sure what to look for. He said that he had them for about 5,000 miles but when i opened the box, they looked a bit worn for 5k. Here are some pics if anyone can help me out. I need to know if these are good to be installed before i pay someone to do it. Being that i used paypal, im sure i can get reimbursed if these are bad. It concerned me to see a piece of worn rubber on one of the coils (first pic, all the way to the right) but everything else looked fine to me...

the rubber is not a problem because we use our OEM boots so who knows how many miles were on his stockies before he put them on the teins. check for any scratches on the piston shaft and make sure you dont see any fluid leaks. you can also compress them and make sure they raise back on their own. if all good, clean them up and install and enjoy!

That's the thing I've looked every where (craigslist, cars, autotrader)and I'm not finding low mileage or private sellers. And this tl's is from a dealer up in yonkers, I'm about to call them and see if I can negotiate and get price down .

So i finally installed these for FREE!! lol i saw a DIY and went to my boys body shop in Hempstead and he let me use all of his equipment. While i had my car on a lift i changed my inner/outter tie rods on both driver/passenger side and installed a progress RSB... car feels super stock, and the handling is very serious. I couldnt be any happier.. my damping is at 9/11 right now and im happy...havent tried it on the stiffest setting yet... I will be installing a rv6 strut bar so that i dont have to remove my oem strutbar everytime i want to mess around with the damping...
